When the pain stopped, Zola came over and removed the mouth guard.

"How do you feel?" He asked. I looked down at my body. I didn't seem any different. Then I saw my hands. Gleaming silver vines seemed to be growing up my arms, starting at my fingertips, but under my skin.

"What have you done to me?" I asked horrified.

"I have cured you of your mundane nature. What I injected you with was a dose of nanobots, that replicate human cells. They can heal you of almost anything. They also enhance your senses and make your muscles and bones stronger. That's what those silver 'veins', so to speak, are. Unfortunately, I have not yet created long lasting bots, so you will need to be re-injected every so often." As he spoke, the 'vines' continued to grow up my arms and presumably all over the rest of my body. A/N: The bots are like the things in the Fifth Wave, if you've read that series.

As doctor Zola walked away, a new man came in.

"Wipe her! Then I can begin the training." He walked over and told me to open. I kept my mouth firmly shut. He backhanded me across the face and repeated himself. I glared at him and opened my mouth.

"Now, that wasn't so hard, was it?" He put my mouth guard in and started up a machine. My chair reclined and two electronic thingy plates came in on either side of my head.

Suddenly, the pain was excruciating. I screamed, but most of the noise was stopped by the mouth guard.

I tried to struggle against my restraints, but they held firm.

It was hard to tell how long the pain lasted, but when I stopped, I was left with the weirdest sensation. It was like part of me had disappeared. I couldn't remember who my parents were or where I grew up. Up until I joined the army, I had no memories.

"What is your name?" Mystery guy asked.

"Rebecca Rose Barnes." He hit me again.

"Your name is Soldier. Now, what is your name?"

"Rebecca Rose Barnes." He hit me even harder then ordered the lab assistants to wipe me again.

The pain hit me again, just as painful as the first time.

"What is your name?"

"I don"t remember." My mind was blank. Who am I? Where am I? Who is he?

"Good. Your name is Soldier. Your objective is to carry out the missions assigned to you by Hydra and to enforce Hydra's values. You serve without fear and without mercy. Hail Hydra. Ponyat', Soldat?"  Understand, Soldier?

Somehow, I registered that he was speaking Russian, and somehow I was able to respond. "Ponyal, ser." Understood, sir.

"What is your name?"

"Soldier."

"Objective?"

"To carry out the missions assigned to me by Hydra and to enforce Hydra's values. I serve without fear and without mercy." He told me to say it, who was I to not believe him. I had no idea what was going on, so why shouldn't he be right? Besides, I was the one strapped to a table and he was the one with the power

"And?"

"Hail Hydra."
