"Hey Cas!" Charlie said walking into homeroom and taking a seat next to Castiel.
"Hey, Charlie. What's up?"
"Eh, nothing much. Whatcha drawin?" Charlie peered over the desk to see Cas's sketchbook. When she saw it, she looked at him in surprise before giving him a smirk. "Is that the new kid? Dean?" Castiel blushed darkly.
"I started the other day without realizing and it was bothering me that I didn't finish it. I swear I'm not being creepy!"
"Yeah, sure. Okay Cassie." Cas just blushed harder, going back to shading in Dean's face.
"So did you ask Dorothy out yet?" Now it was Charlie's turn to blush while Castiel smirked.
"N-no! I'm pretty sure she doesn't like me like that..."
"I thought she was flirting with you?"
"Well, yeah... But it was probably just playful flirting!"
"Yeah, sure. Okay Charlie." Cas responded in a mocking tone. Charlie shoved him on the shoulder while they both laughed. They made small talk for the rest of homeroom until the teacher came in.
"Okay, everyone off to your first period! Push in your chairs!" Everyone filed out of the classroom, having their own conversations. Both Charlie and Cas has science first period, so they walked there together.
"So, how was your time with Deeeaaannn?"
"Fine. We just played some games and made a plan for our project. He stayed for dinner but left right after. Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Is that alllll?" Cas gave her a bitchface.
"Yes, Charlie. That's all." He opened the door to the classroom, letting her through before following her. "So when is the test again?"
"Friday."
"Great. And what is this section on?"
"No idea. Maybe you should pay attention more, nerd." They walked over to their assigned seats right as the bell rang.
"Okay, class! Continuing our lesson from yesterday- Isotopes." Oooh so THAT'S what we're learning. Okay, this will be easy. Cas thought to himself. He made sure to pay attention just in case. The teacher likes him and he didn't want to mess that up by failing the test. Charlie also paid attention, struggling to learn the information.
At the end of class, the teacher gave them a few minutes of free time.
"Wait, so do you understand what this section is on?"
"Yeah! It's-" The bell rang, interrupting Cas. He didn't want to be late to his next class, because it was English. He had that class with Dean and wanted to talk with him before hand, so he couldn't be late. "You know what? I'll tell you at lunch. See ya later, Charlie!" He rushed out the door and straight (as straight as he could run) to the English classroom. Luckily for Cas, Dean was there early, clearly learning his lesson from yesterday.
Cas walked over to his regular seat, next to Dean. "Hello, Dean."
Dean looked up in surprise. "Hey, Cas! What's up, man? So I talked to my uncle and he said it's totally cool if come over after school. For the project! Yeah come over to work on the project."
"Okay, sounds good, Dean. We don't have much left to work on. But it's due in... two weeks? So we have time if we don't finish it today."
"Okay, great. So no pressure than. We can chill for a bit before working on it, if you would like. Is there any time you need to be home?"
