Chapter 10

I jumped awake squinting my eyes at the sunlight coming through the windows. I stood up and blinked walking into my room. I turned on the light, but didn't see Harry in the bed. I walked out and grabbed my phone beginning to text him before deciding not to. I walked into my bathroom and quickly washed my face and threw on makeup getting ready for work.

When I got there I walked down to the clubhouse which no one was in. I grabbed my clipboard and keys and walked to my golf cart looking to see what I needed to get done.

After about an hour of working I became hungry and drove down to the pool to get food and talk to Hannah. When I got there I walked inside seeing the bar was empty thinking she was outside serving people. I walked inside the bar and started to fix myself a basket of fries waiting for her to come back in.

When I was done I sat at the bar snacking before I turned around hearing someone walk in. I smiled seeing Harry walk in, but immediately stopped when a brunette was following him laughing. Harry stopped seeing me and I stood up and walked out.

"Ads!" I heard from behind me. I didn't stop and continued walking.

"Woah hey hey- Addison!" Harry yelled chasing after her.

"Woah what's up?" He said running in front of me and grabbing my shoulders forcing me to stop.

"Was anything you said last night even true?" I said shaking my head.

"What? Of course it was I-" Harry started.

"I love you Addison I do. I've just never done this really and- And I was drunk I don't even know if what i said make since I mean I barely remember it myself- " He said finishing cutting himself off.

"So it wasn't true.." I said practically whispering and turned around to walk away.

"Addie where are you going?"

"Why do you care?" I snapped continuing to walk away.

I walked to the parking lot towards my car beginning to feel a few raindrops on my cheek. I looked up and started to walk faster as the rain came down harder and harder.

I got into my car and slammed the door soaking wet. I threw my stuff down in the passenger seat and started the car. As I backed up and turned the corner everything fell out of my passenger seat and onto the floor. I ignored it and continued to drive.

After several minutes I heard my phone buzz a few times then ring. This went on for several minutes. When I got to a small empty side road I bent down to the passenger seat floor to find my phone trying my best to keep my eyes on the road. Before I knew it my eyes were off the road completely and a terrible force came over me knowing another car had hit me.

I tried to sit up and press the breaks as my car slid across the wet road. My heart was beating as fast as it could and I couldn't catch my breath. I sharply turned the wheel trying to take control of the car just before I came upon a small hill and tumbled down into the woods.
