I jumped down from the window, landing gracefuly on the dirt. I jogged to the forest edge before jumping up on the branches and making my way to the Neko Compound.
The less i thought about telling the family i loved that im leaving for a month the easier it was to move forward.
'Dear Kami, your father is going to have a kitten..' Shiroi kept murmuring nervously, she perched on my shoulder.
"Don't even remind me...Eri is going to flip a nut" I sweatdropped, "Tsubasa is NEVER going to allow this, and im going to freak if Akane cries, shes sad when I go over to a friends house for the weekend!!!!" The more I moved forward the more I want to back out of the mission. But then I remember the way that princess looked at Kiba, no way was I going to let them be alone. I gritted my teeth, and hissed, my fangs poking my tongue. I tasted blood.
I landed in front of the gate, I walked in without stopping to allow myself to think.
Eri's musky scent hit my as soon as I made my way to the fountain, my skin crawled and my hairs stood up, my tail swinging angrily.
"Couldn't stay away for long could you?" his voice carried across the plaza, he was leaning against the far wall, in the shadows. His Panther tail whipping back and forth.
"Don't flatter yourself, im here to talk to my family." I said dismissively, which thinking back was a bad idea.
"Don't you dare dismiss me, you're mine, you do what I say." his voice was behind me, his hand closed around my arm.
"Let me go, before I make you wish you've never heard my name" I spat the words at him my fangs throbbed as they extended fully, my nails began to extend and glow as my chakra instinctively flowed to my fingertips. I was ready this time to fight.
"Listen to her Eri-san," Tsubasa appeared pulling Eri's grip from my arm and causing my focus to waver and my nails shrank back down. Eri's grip left an angry red hand print, a bruise was already beginning to form.
"Konichiwa, anii-san, I just need Akane and father to walk with us so I can tell you guys some news of importance." I kept my tone formal and polite as my words. But my eyes glared daggers at Eri, my eyes slitted with anger and aderanline raced through my veins.
"Good to see you're better'' Tsubasa smiled at me, then turned his glare back on Eri. "Don't think because our father has let you off the hook means im not going to service some personal justice. You hurt my sister, im a tad protective and its not lookin good for you." he growled, his tail swishing.
This was the only time I never scolded him for being an overprotective big brother. I started walking away without looking back, the tension loosened in my neck a little when I no longer smelt the musky spicy scent assosiated with Eri.
"Arigato, anii-san." I sighed walking up the stairs to mY old home. My heart aches a little as we pass pictures of my mother, her long white-blond hair and pale blue eyes, her pale yellow lion ears peaked out of her waves of pale curls. My heart ached for her gentle arms and fierce determenation, she would help me through all this she would support me, if only she were here...
"What do you have to talk to us about?" Tsubasa matched my pace and climbed the steps to our house with me.
"I have a mission, my first C-rank." I grinned with pride, happy to ascending in the world of Shinobi.
"Wow, so soon? You must have bribed the Hokage himself to snag such an honor." He laughed and patted my back.
"Kag, what are you doing here?" Akane asked as she came out of her room, clearly from hearing our voices. She was dressed in her red pajamas and was whipping her sleepy eyes.
