Christmas Morning.

"Daddy! Mommy! Wake up, Santa was here, he came!" My four year old daughter, Memory, squeals as she runs into our room. It's not a single second later before she's climbed to the foot of our bed, and launched herself at Spencer who is pretending to still be asleep, but the second her tiny body collides against his chest with little to no force, his arms wrap around her protectively; his eyes snapping open and the large crooked grin splitting his face. She's a daddy's girl naturally and he adores every fiber of her being. I sit up with a smile and watch as the miniature female Spencer places her tiny hands on either side of his face, pressing a kiss to the tip of his nose. That's her custom, she does it literally every morning.

"Good morning, Sunshine," He says, kissing her forehead. "Did Santa come last night?"

She grins wider in excitement. "Yes, yes he did. That means you and mommy need to get up right now so we can open all of the presents!"

Spencer gasps a little in fake shock. "Is that so? I thought we'd sleep a little more."

"Mommy! Tell him it's time to wake up and open presents!" She directs at me this time. I give him an amused pointed look. "Yeah, Spence. It's time for presents."

Spencer smiles and sits up in bed, causing Memory to be cradled in his slender arms; not that she minded, really it made her smile even more.

"Then I guess we should go open presents." He says, standing with her still in his arms. I get out of bed as well, smiling as he carries her out and downstairs. I place my hand on the small, new forming baby bump between my hips. Today would also be the day we'd tell her she's getting a new little sister, she'd been mentioning it randomly and Spencer and I had just recently figured out I was pregnant again, I thought it'd be the perfect gift. I follow behind them, stopping at the foot of the stairs as I see her showing Spencer the empty plate and cup where Santa had eaten his cookies and finished his milk.

"Is that the reason Santa is so cuddly, Daddy?" I hear her ask him as I can't help but chuckle. Spencer had been the one to eat the cookies and milk, and he's nowhere near "cuddly."

"Is what the reason, Sunshine?" He asks coyly in return.

"Is it because he eats so many cookies in one night?" She asks curiously and Spencer laughs.

"Maybe, but I think all that present delivering just causes him to build up an appetite." He says and Memory nods. I finally join them as she gives him a hug.

"Memory, one of these presents are from Daddy and Mommy, not Santa. We're gonna open that one last, okay?" He says gently to her and she nods.

Spencer smiles and hands her stocking to her, having already pulled it down. "You always have to check the stocking first." He says and she does, more like dumps it on the floor, but close enough. She instantly lets out a squeak and grabs the name tag that falls out. Before saying anything she clips it onto her pajamas and puffs her chest with pride. Spencer had gotten her one after she said she wanted to be exactly like him, name tag and all. They often had Daddy-daughter twin days, the only difference being the name tag on days he carried her into work with him for paperwork days. They definitely twinned in every other way, Memory looks almost exactly like Spencer, down to the tip of her nose even. She's a beautiful little girl. Now that she had a name tag like her Daddy's, I doubt she'll take it off. It read: Dr. Memory Atreya Reid: miniature genius and BAU profiler. It even has her little picture on it. Miniature genius is not an exaggeration as well, she is beyond brilliant for her age, she will be just as brilliant as her Daddy when she grows up.

"Daddy, how did Santa know I wanted this?" She asks excitedly.

"Daddy put in good word to Santa that our twin days just felt a little incomplete without it and that you may need it." He says with a smile and she hugs him.

I begin pulling gifts from beneath the tree, taking pictures of her with Spencer as she smiles happily with each one. I think her favorite being the completed Poe collection. Again, baby genius here, she can read it. After opening all of her toys and other items and examining them intently, there is only one present left beneath the tree. Spencer picks it up and holds it for a second. "Sunshine, this is the present from Mommy and Daddy, are you ready to open it?"

She smiles excitedly. "Yes, I'm so excited." He hands it to her and she opens the box excitedly only to reveal a single ultrasound picture inside. "What's this?" She asks gently pulling out and studying it intently.

"That's your new baby sister." Spencer says just as gently as we study her expression. It doesn't change for a moment as she looks between us with a neutral scanning expression. She's profiling us, just as she learned from her daddy.

After a moment the realization finally hits her and she drops the picture, climbing into Spencer's lap as she starts to cry, not just gentle tears she's literally sobbing with joy, like the body wracking kind. He holds her and kisses her head as she cries.

"Is this true?" She asks to neither of us in particular as she calms down a little. "Yes." We both answer.

"She's in your belly?" She looks up at me curiously with tear stained cheeks.

"Yeah, she is." I say pulling my shirt up to show her the small bump. She slides off Spencer's lap and moves over to me, placing her hands on my belly. She leans close and whispers softly: "Hi there, little sister. I don't know if you can hear me, but I love you, and I've been asking for you for a long time. I can't wait to meet you so that we can play together and I can protect you." She leans back on her feet with a smile, turning back to Spencer.

"Daddy, I need to call uncle Derek and aunt Penelope."

"Why, Sunshine?"

"Because, I need to talk to them. Please?" She pleads and he hands her his phone. She calls Penelope and after a couple of rings comes a cheerful "What's up, Boy Wonder?" She has the phone on speaker as she continues, "Hi, aunt Penelope, it's Girl Wonder, can you get uncle Derek, I need to talk to you both." She says softly

"Oh, sure sweetpea, give me a second." She calls for him and soon we hear a joyful "Hey pretty girl, how are you?"

"I'm perfect," she says "I'm getting a new little sister, remember I've been wanting one?" She says and the couple laughs. Oh dear, they're gonna tease poor Spence like crazy.

"That's great, pretty girl," Derek says "you should go spend time with Daddy now, I'm sure he misses you already." She looks back at Spencer and he nods dramatically.

"Alright uncle Derek, see you later." She says and hangs up, giving his phone back. Immediately afterwards crawling into his lap and resting her head over his heart. She always listened to her Daddy's heartbeat as well it'd always relaxed her in any given situation. The rest of the day is filled with relaxing much like this, and occasional bubbly excitement from Memory.
