To everybody that believed in me through book one, and everyone that will keep on believing me throughout our journey. Thank you.

Cold. All she felt was a deep cold that seemed to seep into her bones. Why was she cold? The last thing she could remember was being on the plane, and the plane had heated vents above her. So why on earth was she so freezing?

She sat up and opened her eyes as fast as lightning. It wasnt warm because there wasnt any heated vents. The plane went down. Where was she though? There didnt seem to be any pieces of the plane or people she knew.

But what she did see was rain. Buckets and gallons and millions of droplets falling from the sky. Was it supposed to rain this much normally? I guess nothing was normal now, considering what had just happened.

She was so cold...so wet...so tired. She layed down and closed her eyes. Screw hypothermia she was taking a darn nap.

But she knew that she had one goal. Get home. But what she didnt realize was how hard that would be to accomplish. An entire nation would be after her.

Aang's POV

"What do you mean she's gone?! I leave for five minutes and she just dissapears?" My hands were balled in the air, itching to hit something. It wasnt possible. They were lying to me, thats it this was all just one big joke.

I closed my eyes and put my hands over my face. When I would open them Kaori would still be here with me and we would go on another big adventure again. I opened my eyes. It was still Sokka in front of me, his tear streaked face staring at me with sad eyes.

"She couldnt have just dissapeared..." I whispered. My throat closed up. I couldnt speak anymore or I might lose myself.

"Katara is out there in the rain trying to find out what happened. We all turned around for one second becuase we heard the loudest noise, and when we turned back...she was gone."

Sokka ran a hand through his messy hair. He sounded as horrible as he looked. I sighed. It wasnt just me that lost someone today, it was Sokka and Katara too.

"What was the noise you heard that made you turn away? More firenation?" I asked.

"No actually, it wast anything Ive ever heard before. First a bolt of lightning hit so bright we couldnt see anything. Then it got really loud, and made a whoosing sound sort of. And I could hear someone scream. Then nothing. We turned around and Kaori was gone."

Sokka looked guilty. He probably thought it was his fault for turning his back on her or something.

"Its probably like Roku said. Our souls were mixed in the first place, so the rest of her probably went into me and her body disappeared." Sokka nodded slightly. It did make sense after all.

Katara burst into the ice hut we were in, a panicked look on her face. "I couldnt find her anywhere! Nobody saw her get up, get taken, she didnt fly away--at least I hope--"

"Katara." I interrupted her, tugging on her hand I pulled her into a hug. I explained what I had talked to Sokka about while she cried on my shoulder.

After a bit she pulled back and we all sat down, tears still marking our faces and puffy eyes staring at each other with sadness. It was silent.

"Kaori is gone now," I started out slowly, "She's gone and we wont ever see her again. But that doesnt mean that she wont be in our hearts." Katara sniffed.
