She walks casually past you, her eyes following the narrow path of where each one of her feet will land next, avoiding the gaze of every pair of eyes in the school. Yet the grace of which she carries herself by seems to stand out substantially to you. Transfixed by how she moves, you cannot bring yourself to break your line of sight until she turns the corner. Leaning against the wall behind you, your fingers work through your hair in frustration as your mind ponders your next move. It's been a week since the first time you've seen her, you've got to start somewhere, right? Rushing to your first class, which happens to be the same as hers, you sit in the desk next to her and smile sheepishly as she glances in your direction.       "Hey there... Mind if I sit here?" You ask, not capable of constructing a better way to start. She shrugs her shoulders softly, shaking her head lightly, making her soft brunette hair fall in front of her face; avoiding you. "You know that won't work.. Right?" You ask, smirking at her as she turns to look at you and tilts her head ever so slightly in confusion.        "What won't work?" A hint of a smile barely dances on the edges of her soft lips, her voice in a mere whisper as she crosses her legs and lifts an eyebrow.       "Trying to be invisible to me..." You lean toward her and speak almost as softly as she does. "I happen to be immensely captivated by your beautiful face.." As soon as those words are spoken, she turns her head, but not quickly enough, because you have caught a glimpse of the slight flush of her cheeks; a pure shade of innocent pink on her flawless skin.       You chuckle lightly as she writes in her notebook, avoiding everything in the environment around her. Deciding not to push your luck, you open your binder to flip through your notes carelessly, nonchalantly starting up a regular conversation. "Recently moved into town? Or are you that type of mysterious new girl, hiding a deep dark secret and had to switch schools to keep it safe?" She sharply turns her head again, seeming to be holding a poker face and beginning to speak, before you lean your head back and laugh.       "You read too much." She simply states, laughing coolly; the sound making you feel lightheaded instantly. "Actually, I'm new in town because of some family trouble.." She doesn't elaborate after rising your curiosity, so you pry for a little more, wondering why you care to know..       "Let me guess. You ran away because daddy didn't want his little princess to grow up, but you were secretly pregnant and could never hide an abortion from them." You look at her and smile, wanting to hear her laugh again. She laughs but this time, it seems to be laced with ice. She shakes her head and avoids the question. "Aw, come on. You can tell me all about your little rebel self, afraid to be little miss perfect." You tease and smirk, seeming to change her mind about answering, seeing that she is shooting daggers at you now.      "Actually... Daddy came home drunk, shot mommy and left his little princess all alone as she climbed out of the window, hearing a second gunshot as soon as her feet hit the pavement outside." She replies coldly, a tear catching on her eyelashes as she stares into your eyes, waiting for a reply and seeming to love your change in emotion as the conversation takes a dark twist. You can feel your eyes growing wider before filling with pity, opening your mouth to comfort the broken angel next to you. "No, shush. I don't need your pity." Her words dripping  with ice as she faces the teacher who just walked in the room. Closing her notebook and scribbling down notes as the teacher begins the psychology lesson, she never looks in your direction again; leaving you feeling like a jackass as you silently curse yourself and swear to make her feel whole again.. As soon as class ends, you stand and quickly catch her at the doorway, blocking it. "Um, I didn't catch your name.." You carefully ask, contemplating every word in order to be careful.       "You won't. Don't get your hopes up." The words spill out of her mouth as an attempt to disappoint you, but it fuels you even more, seeing that she wants to run.       "You fascinate me, I'm not giving up. I can see you need someone and I want to be that person." You speak slow and soft, hoping to convince her of your pure intentions.       "Listen, I'm strong, I can handle myself. What's the point of having anything or anyone if you only end up losing it all? Stop caring because I sure don't, and you deserve someone who will give you the chance and hope I never will." She brushes past you and her sigh is so light, so feather-light that it sends a small chill through your body. Grabbing her arm to pull her back, you feel an electric shock-type tingle travel through your fingertips straight to your heart.. You shake off the feeling of awe long enough to talk to her.        "Everyone needs someone. Let me be your friend, just your friend. You have feelings and desire for love and warmth underneath all those walls. I know it. Just believe."       "I have nothing anymore." She mutters out, looking at you with all the pain she feels hidden within her eyes. The specific shade of green so mysterious, so full of secrets that are waiting to be released.. "Getting out of bed in the morning takes all the desire for warmth out of me." Breaking your grip, she heads to her locker. You follow behind her, leaning against the locker beside hers.        "Well, I'm Will, can I at least know your name? I need to start somewhere." She huffs in frustration, grabbing the books she needs for her next class.         "Amberlynn." She holds a schedule in one of her hands, studying it closely with a confused look as she turns to leave you. Her name sounds so sweet and warm in your ears, you wonder if it describes her from when she was whole..        "Wait! If you ever need help, around school, I'll gladly show you to your class or anything.. Amberlynn." You babble on, hoping to catch her eye again.         "Thanks.." She mutters as she walks down the hall, trying to become hidden again in this world. You admire her as she disappears, and venture on to your next class, trying to forget about the one you desire but realizing at the same time that will never happen. Ever since you laid eyes on her, you knew she has to belong to you or you will feel just as lost as she does..
