Chapter Four

Elizabeth POV

I'm stunned to say the least. I always knew Sir Meliodas could be scary at times, but what is this new feeling I have. It's warm and deep. I'll just have to figure it out myself. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I slowly start to realize I'm just sitting in the the Tavern and head up to get some sleep. For my own safety, I knock on the door. You never know what he could be doing in there, that crazy man.

Once receiving a 'come in', I slowly open the door. Sir Meliodas is there, sitting on the bed, shirtless! What! Why! Okay, calm down. This isn't the first time you've seen him without a shirt. There's nothing to freak out about. Especially not when he looks so good. WAIT! What am I thinking. Oh gosh, calm down.

"Elizabeth, are you alright?" His words snapped me out of my fit, but when I came to realization. He was right there in my face, looking down at me. When did I end up on the ground? I never realized how good looking he is. Why is he so close though. "Elizabeth!" When he says my name, it's so nice.

"Yes, Meliodas?" After that, everything went black.

Meliodas POV

Everything has just been tiring today. Hawk didn't help it one bit either. I'm letting my anger get to me too much though. I feel like I might explode any minute now. Can you blame me though, I just want to protect her. As of right now, she means the world to me. I don't know what would happen if something happened to her. I mean of course in a completely platonic way. Yeah that's right, yeah. Ugh, I'm just gonna get changed and go to sleep.

Right as I take my shirt off, I hear a knock on the door. If it's Hawk I will kill him and eat him for dinner. After mumbling 'come in', the door opens to Elizabeth. Her eyes widen in shock for some reason. Oh yeah, no shirt, but she's seen me without one before. What's so different now? Out of nowhere she drops to the floor. I automatically jump up from where I was sitting and run to her.

"Elizabeth, are you alright?" My voice was hushed, and wavering, like it would give out at any moment. A million thoughts were rushing through my head, as she slowly fell into me getting heavier with every passing second. "Elizabeth!" This time my voice was harsh, loud and uneven.

"Yes, Meliodas?" She didn't even say sir, she always says sir. What's going on? Before I knew it, she had fallen completely into me, and wasn't moving. All reason had left me, I didn't know what to do or what was going on. I just sat there, crying, in pain. Did she leave me too? Why? "Elizabeth!" I was yelling at this point. Everyone in the little hut could hear me, I was sure of that. It's probably for the best, cause I'm not leaving her side, I can't.

Merlin was the first on the seen, and wouldn't let anyone else in. How could a girl that could heal, not be able to heal herself in a moment like this? What's going on? Please be okay?
