4. Fourth Harmony

Laurens POV

I can't believe that this is how it is ending, we knew Camila was going to pursue her own career and we were all totally supportive of her in doing that, but that doesn't mean that this doesn't hurt and we don't feel somehow betrayed. And to make matters worse, management have decided to intervene without even talking to any of us, posting things on twitter and signing the statement from us without even consulting us on what was said. I don't know what to do, I wish y/n was here but she is back home with her family for Christmas so it is going to be another few weeks before I can see her and hold her again. Dinah, Ally and Normani were messaging me asking if I'd seen the statement that management had posted, and what I thought we should do about it, but all I wanted to do right now was call y/n and hear her tell me that everything is going to be alright, unfortunately it's late in England, and I don't want to worry her and wake her up. Just as I was about to reply to the girls I got a phone call from y/n, I breathed a sigh of relief but as soon as I answered the call and heard the worry in her voice everything came crashing down and I couldn't stop crying.

'Hey babe, I saw the tweet is everything okay? I thought you guys were going to wait until the new year, has something happened? Are you okay? Do you need me to come back home? I can see when the next flight is and be straight there, hey try not to cry Lo, everything will be okay, okay?'
I could hear the worry in her voice but the last thing that I wanted to do was make her come here and ruin her Christmas with her family as she hadn't seen them in a few months, and I'm pretty sure they all hate me already for convincing her to move to America to be with me.

'Hi, God I've missed you so much, but no you can't come back, stay there with your family. I don't know, I don't know whats happened they didn't even warn us that they were going to put that up! And it's so shady Camila is going to hate all of us, and all our fans are going to turn against us and I can't deal with it and this is all I've ever wanted and they're going to ruin it and ruin our careers, I just want to make music y/n, I don't want any of this drama, and the girls are asking me what we should do and the fans are tweeting me and we have no idea whats going on, this is so unfair. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later I just didn't want it to happen like this'.

'It's okay Lo, calm down alright? Everything will be fine, the fans will still love you, you're so talented of course your career isn't over, you just have to see this as a new chapter. You know, you guys are like the Spice girls and she's Geri Halliway okay? You'll get through this, you all have such an amazing connection, I'm sure Camila will get over it if you explain to her and you can move past it'.

'But what if she's Beyoncé and we're Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams-'

'She is not Beyoncé and you are not Kelly Rowland or Michelle Williams, she is Camila Cabello, you are Lauren Jauregui, and you are so amazing and beautiful and the most talented person ever. I love you, your family loves you, your friends love you and so do your fans. I know it's going to be hard, but it's just a transition and you'll get through it and you will continue to go from strength to strength. And Camila will do well too, remember that you're friends first and artists second okay? Don't let this get in the way of the friendship you all have, you've got to continue to support each other. Just let things settle and things will seem much more clear in a few days, it isn't the end of the world Lo, it's just the beginning of a slightly different one.'
Hearing her reassurance and confidence that things would be okay stopped my tears, and I felt so safe and secure knowing that no matter what she was always there for me, even though it was like 2am where she was and knowing her she is probably struggling to stay awake.

'Thank you baby, I'm sorry that I'm such a mess. I love you, and you're right, things will be okay, as long as we stick together yeah?'

'I love you too. And we will always be together, and I will always have your back, things will be better than okay, they'll be amazing'

'Promise?'

'Pinky promise.'

'You should get some sleep babe, I'll be okay I just needed to hear your voice'

'Okay, I'm falling asleep anyway, I'll call you tomorrow okay? Make sure you get some rest too and don't worry about things Lauren just concentrate on having fun with your family, everything is else is just secondary right now. I love you, goodnight'

'Goodnight beautiful'

Y/n is right, no matter what happens I've just got to make sure that this never comes before what's most important; my family, my friends and my fans. It's a new beginning but sometimes change is good and is necessary in order to move on to bigger and brighter things. I won't let this get in the way of mine and Camila's friendship, but right now isn't the time to sort things out, like she said we have to wait for things to settle down, and then hopefully we can achieve some clarity, for ourselves and also for our fans.

(A/N; this felt almost wrong to write, I can't believe it all actually happened the way it did, so this was a bit more focused on the events rather than a relationship. I decided to post it now so we can leave it in 2016 😅😢. Anyway I hope the girls stay friends and both the girls and camila will continue to be successful in 2017.
