Malina

Though I was enjoying my time with Johan, I couldn’t help but to think about Zion. The man never called back an hour later, and shit wasn’t adding up. I was starting to wonder if this was really about money or was this personal. Shit was scary. “What’s on your mind?” Johan asked as he swam next to me and splashed water in my face. His ass was either goofy or he was really happy to see me. “Just thinking,” I said as I climbed the ladder and stepped out of the pool. “Are you hungry?” he asked. “Yes, as a matter of fact, I am.” “Well enough. I will have the chef prepare us the meal of your choice.” “I’ll just take a salad,” I said as I sat at the table and dried off. As fine as Johan was, it just felt so wrong to be enjoying this moment, and Zion was still missing. If this was really about money, why hadn’t they called yet? Did this mean that Zion was dead? “Two salads,” Johan said into the intercom. I heard it throughout the house. “Johan, can I ask you something?” “Yes.”

“Why didn’t you let Chola kill us?” “Want to know a secret?” “Tell me.” “Chola was never going to kill you two.” “Huh? Well why did she pull her gun on us?” “I have no clue. But Chola knew that I wouldn’t let it happen, that’s why she threatened to do it in front of me. It was all a show.” “But why would she do all of that just to scare us?” “Maybe she wanted to impress your cousin. She really likes her.” “How do you know?” “She told me,” he said as he winked at me. Just then, the chef brought our salads out. “That don’t make no sense.” “That’s Chola for you. She doesn’t make sense sometimes.” “So wait… Chola really likes Divine?” “Yes. That’s why you haven’t seen Divine since you’ve been here.” That’s when I realized that Divine had been out of my sight for a little too long. “Where is she?” “Chola took her on a date. Allegedly,” he said. “What does that mean?” I asked, standing up. I wasn’t in the mood for games. Not when Chola was in

involved. “Relax. They went to have drinks, but don’t wait up.” “Why?” I asked, sitting back down. “Chola and Divine have a long night ahead of them. I was hoping we could take this time to get acquainted.” “Like how?” I asked. “I don’t want to beat around the bush, Malina, so I will tell you straight up.” “Tell me what?” “I want to make love.” I laughed. “Making love is for two people who love each other.” “Well, what’s the word I’m looking for?” “Fuck. You want to fuck.” “Yes. Let’s go have a fuck,” he said with much confidence, and it was so funny to me because he looked so adorable saying it. “No, Johan. Just tell me that you want to fuck. Not have a fuck.” “I want to fuck.” “I wish I could, but I’m on my period,” I lied. “I’m Colombian, not stupid. We just went swimming and I didn’t see a tampon or a pad.” “You were looking for it?” I asked. This mothafucka was smart as hell. That’s the rea

son he invited me for a swim, just in case I tried to use that as an excuse. “Yes, I was.” “So now you’re crazy?” “No, I want to have a fuck
