The General then promotes the Staff Sergeant to a Captain and when they meet up at the headquarters with the rest of the battalion, they all grab their grub first but when a mere private complains about why they get their food first his commanding officer told him, "that's cause they're the most decorative squad in the entire battalion, they're the ones that gave us the Intel about the enemy battalion closing in on our position, they're the ones that taught us guerilla warfare, they're the ones that saved our ass!" Then when the private looked at his C.O. stunned with a shocked face he had gone back to his duty station and waited for further orders. While the squad was grubbing and discussing about the counter attack the General came over and pulled Captain Moore aside and they started talking. The General looked at the Captain and said, "Son you're doing one hell of a job for your country and your men but I'm afraid I got some bad news for you and your men." The Captain replied, "What do you mean sir? I mean yes we are the most decorative squad in the battalion but why did you pull me aside for?" The General says, "Captain I ain't gonna make this easy for you but your mother had passed away yesterday and I just didn't know how to tell you." The Captain replied with, "Well sir if it means a lot to you for wanting to send me home to attend her funeral I just can't it's not time for me to have leave yet." The General looking surprised goes, "Well son, I know it isn't sitting with you well now but I'm gonna need you to focus from here on out do you read me." The Captain nods in agreement and says, "Crystal clear sir!" The Captain then saluted the General and returned to his meal only to remain silent the rest of the time. The next day the Captain and his squad gather their gear as they get ready to get their orders on to where they're going next. The General looks at the Captain and his squad then he handed the Captain a folded piece of papers with their orders on it. The Captain looked at it then nodded as he and his men grabbed their breakfast on the go as they were heading out to their next destination. Once the Captain and his men get to their next destination they slowly set their gear down and set up camp just to take a break and eat their hot meals that they had grabbed before leaving the main camp earlier that morning. As soon as they finish their meals the Captain takes out his binoculars and looked around the battlefield only to see that the enemy has also set up a camp across the way and after the Captain put his binoculars down he grabs his sniper rifle and lays in the prone position and steadies his aim and while looking down his scope to line up the shot at one of the enemies he sees that one of them has a set of binoculars and is looking about for the Captain and his squad. The Captain takes the shot at the enemy with the binoculars and watches the blood fly out of the enemies head as the bullet passed through one of the binocular slots and went through the eye of the enemy. Once the enemy fell backwards after getting shot in the head the Captain and his squad pack everything up and pull the ghillie suits over their bodies and wait for the enemy to walk by without noticing them. Once the enemy walks away the Captain and his crew get up and pack everything and begin marching to the next main camp set up and as they get there the Captain walks up to the General and he hands the Captain his mail. The Captain looks at the letter and sees that it is from his wife and he walks away to lay on a cot in a tent and opens the letter and reads it. "Dear Austin, Things have been difficult without you being here. The boys and your little girl keep asking when you're coming home and I keep telling them that their daddy will be home soon once he gets his things done where he is at." The Captain looks at the picture to see his loving kids and his wife and smiles then goes back to the letter, "I also took a pregnancy test again today my loving husband and guess what? You're going to be a father again." The Captain starts tearing up as he sees the pictures of the pregnancy test and then a ultrasound photo of the new baby that is on the way. "I know what you're thinking of right now honey but I need you to be strong and not rush back home so soon I Love you Austin and I hope to see you soon. Love you always, Your loving wife and kids." The Captain lets the tears go as his corporal from the squad walks in and looks at him then asks, "Captain you okay?" The Captain replies with, "Yeah I'm fine Corporal." Then he looks back at the letter and tucks it away into his jacket as he gets up and wipes the tears away and then grabs his gear and walks to the General and looks at him. The General looks at the Captain and says, "Everything alright son I can see the look on your face that you've been crying tears of joy." The Captain nods in agreement. "Well son if you want to after this next mission I'll send you and your squad home." The Captain gives the General a nod in agreement again and then turns and looks at his men as they all gear up and get ready to move with the rest of the battalion to begin another push on the enemy. Once the frontline starts engaging the enemy. The Captain and his squad start pushing forward with their mission by flanking on the left side of the enemy to push them back even further and once they get that done and the enemy starts retreating the Captain sees this and tells the Battalion to hold their position and to get prepared for the counter attack as he and his men move forward and get set up to counter the enemy's counter strike. The night grows long as the captain tells his men to rest while he stands guard as watch and while the captain looks around in the dead of night he finally trades off with another soldier and catches some sleep whole thinking about his family back home. The morning comes around and the Captain and his squad gear up while the rest of the Battalion does the same with teams switching on and off watch positions and then he sees the enemy begin to march towards them again and this time the numbers have emassed a larger number this time and as soon as they began firing towards the allies the Captain gives the order to return fire back at the enemy and soon bullets were flying everywhere and as the Captain and his squad fire from their position a bullet flies and hits the Captain in his shoulder and he falls back clutching his shoulder and soon his men yell for the medic as they cover their captain and continue the fight. Night starts to fall on the battlefield as the Allies dont give the enemy an inch and as the captain is still being tended to by the medics hes still sitting there with his rifle firing bullets at the enemy until he sees the enemy's numbers thin out then he tells the squad to finish them off and the battalion to cease fire.
