"What about that one Baylee?" I ask pointing to yet another dress to the 100 dresses we have looked at over the past 3 hours. I know it took over 6 hours to get a dress for me but that was for my wedding not my 16th birthday. yes my babies are turning 16 tomorrow and we are having a party so being a girl you want to look spectacular for possibly finding your mate.

"Mmm maybe. that can be my back up just in case"

"You have said that to nearly all the dresses I have pointed out."

"Yeah well you got good back up taste."

"Wow. yippe" I said sarcastically

"This one" Baylee says jumping up and down while dragging me the dress shop.

She runs and gets it off the railing and shows it to me.

"Wow it's perfect. go try it on!" I say ushering her to the changing rooms.

When she came out the dress was perfect fit and perfect style. it was a light blue long dress thy came to the top of her feet. it had diamonds running from her shoulder in between her chest to her hip.

"Perfect! that's the one!" I say

"I love it"

"Lets get it then! hurry up!"

"Ok but it's so comfy I don't want to get out of it" she says while walking to the changing rooms to take the dress off.

"Ha that's the exact same thing I said with my wedding dress"

"Great minds think a like then"

"Yeah" I say and linking her arm with mine and going out of the store with her new dress.

When we arrived home she ran up to her room to put the dress away.

"Hey mum" Riley says coming into the room

"Hey what you doing?" I ask. Riley is now 13.

"Nothing. Is it ok if I can invite a friend over?" he asks grinning oh so widely

"Sure. who is it?"

"Argh a mate"

"You found your mate?!"

"Shhh yes I have."

"What's her name? is she cute?"

"Her names Maddie and she's stunning"

"Aww that's amazing! how come you found your mate so soon?"

"I don't know mum. but I've never been so happy" i still smile widely when he calls me mum

"Aww I'm so proud of you son. and so will your parents"

"I know. but you and dad are my parents now"

"Love you. now go call her I want to meet her and I also have something for her"

I say

"What is it?"

"A dress for tomorrow's party. Baylee bought 3 for back up and back back ups so surely she can borrow one"

"Thanks mum. your the best"

"I know" I say. he goes off and calls her.

"Ding dong" the door bell goes off

"I'll get it!" Riley yells and runs to the door. when he opens it, it revels a beautiful red head girl with sparking blue eyes.

"Hey" she says softly.

"Hi" Riley replies and kisses

Her cheek which makes her blush.
