Chapter 13

At the hospital, I found my mom and we sat next to her. Derek and he were getting along well. They were just talking and talking.
"And lemme tell you, Leny, when she was a baby. She used to play vampire and werewolves with her cousin. She loved being a werewolf and always growling and snarling. Ah! Lemme tell you how adorable it was!"
"How about at dinner mom, I have to get to school."
"But I won't have dinner--"
"Exactly. Love you." I kissed her cheek and took the car keys.
"Does she know that your driving the car?" Derek asked, I nodded.
"Yep." I said, we got in the car. I turned in the car and Derek stared at me while I was driving, "what?"
"You always wanted to be a werewolf more then a vampire." He said.
"Of course I did, werewolves transform into cool things and vampires.. well vampires have fangs but.. theirs nothing really cool about them."
"Besides being able to get places way faster. And being immortal."
"Yeah and having to feed on human blood to survive--"
"Hey but at least your dealing with it amazingly! Lemme tell you, some people that have been vampires for centuries and they still have trouble controlling their hunger."
"Yeah, I'm starving. I don't want to feed on human blood. I'd rather studying to be a police officer." He chuckled, "What?"
"You and your brother are so alike." He said, "he doesn't want to do harm only good."
"Yeah." I replied, "my brother, he's so kind hearted. Trusts everyone, I don't really see myself that much like him. I'm usually the one that beats the shit out of someone if they hurt my brother. And my brother just wants to talk about, he's a chill kinda guy."
"So a police officer huh."
"Yeah, my dad, he's part of the FBI. I guess that where I got the idea from." I said.
"Deputy McCall. I like it." I smiled.
"Thank you."
