Why can't I remember? Where am I? The woman in the chamber thought to herself. She sat up and heard soft beeps and whistles. Her dark blue eyes fixed on the strange metal things. One was tall, one was short. The girl blinked, as the robots did too.
"Uh, hi?" The girl didn't know what to say. The bots looked at one another and at her and smiled from their eyes as they made some beeps and whistles and waved at her. The girl tilted her head and smiled softly, they were oddly cute. "What's your name?" The bots blinked and turned their backs, on their back was printed brand names, P-Body and Atlas. The girl nodded, "Pleased to meet you..My name is-" she thought. Crap, I can't remember. She looked at the number on the chamber top, zero. Zero. "Guess I'm Zero for now," Zero said softly. The bots nodded and helped her stand out of the chamber.
Zero's leg's felt like jelly as she stood, but soon stabilized her balance. Her boots clicked softly as she walked with P Body and Atlas. "So, Atlas. What happened to your leg?" Zero watched the taller bot help the shorter walk as the shorter limped on. Atlas looked back and thought, then Atlas pointed to the celling and made a whistle sound down to the floor. "Oh, so you fell. I would repair that leg of yours if I knew how. Don't worry, we will find a way out of this place." Zero softly waved a black gloved hand. The bots made some whistles and beeps, she kinda wished she knew what they were saying. They wondered the halls aimlessly, walked upstairs, downstairs. They just weren't getting anywhere.
"Maybe...Can I see that thing on your back Atlas? That's a hand held portal device, right?" Zero pointed to the portal gun hooked to Atlas's back. Atlas nodded and handed it to her, Zero looked up to a ledge, and saw a small corner of a patch of white, she looked down at the gun and stuck her hand inside of the gun handle hole and felt two triggers inside it.
This gun seemed to be more designed for the bots, but it would do. Zero pointed to the patch of white and pulled the left trigger, with a slight kick the gun fired a dark blue orb that whizzed by and hit her target, Zero then looked down at her feet and shot a light blue portal below her. Instantly, she fell through and landed on a far away platform.
Atlas and P-Body watched her, she was about fifty feet away and thirty feet up. This gave a perfect view, it seemed the three of them were in some sort of corridor that used to be multiple test chambers, but their walls must have been reused or something because the worn down place stretched. Zero squinted, the dim lights overhead on the celling gave barley any light. But she saw a far off door and nodded, there were other winding halls but she knew that without walls or barriers this place was a maze, the door was the best option. Zero shot a dark blue portal across the room near the door and pointed to the light blue portal, "Go through! I will meet you down!" The bots nodded and went through. Zero turned and saw the robots come out the other side near the door. She leaped down with a loud, THUNK. Zero moved to the portal and went through it, her world went from falling to walking. This confused her sometimes , one second you will be on the floor and feel like falling the next your up right and walking. She shook her head and ushered to the door.
The door opened automatically, but slowly and squeaked from age and rust. They walked into a room that had only an elevator, so the three stepped in and went up. Up was the way to go, the two bots shook her hand as thanks. With Atlas's state and if things were a tad different, they would've turned out to be two piles of scrap.
"Don't thank me." Zero chuckled. The elevator continued to hum as they went upwards. "So... I mean, I don't remember a lot of things, I barely know who I am. Do you think you guys know a someone that may know me? Like a headmaster, leader, like a Cave Johnson?" She looked at P-Body and Atlas. They looked at one another, then at Zero. At first they made some hesitated beeps and clicks, but they nodded.
     "Oh that's good," Zero smiled.
