Two bots walked along suspended catwalks over a empty, bottomless pit whistling and clicking at each other in their robot-y language angrily. One bot, a tall one, with long legs and a sharp oval body had low shoulders and long arms with a single orange optic in the upper center of its oval body. This was P-Body, P-Body glared at the back of its shorter partner with a circular body and high shoulders and a single blue optic in the center of its circular body, this was Atlas. They continued to chatter to one another as they wondered the never ending maze of rusted catwalks, how they got there was falling through a test from a faulty panel. So, through loudspeakers GlaDOS, the main core of the facility, gave orders to the two bots to find a way back or just kill themselves and be rebuilt later. Of course, the two bots never liked the thought of death, so they tried to find a way out instead.
Atlas clicked to its partner and in return P-Body made a sharp whistle. Atlas made the sound of a sigh, because the bot was trying to apologize but P-Body still blamed the shorter bot for this. Atlas looked back at its partner, P-Body just looked away and continued to follow. Deeper and deeper the two marched on, the cables creaked and moaned from their heavy trots as they pushed forward looking for a way back in a test area. Soon, the two realized that GlaDOS was no longer watching over them because there were no cameras, so the two test bots walked with caution.
Atlas suddenly stopped and scanned the surroundings, P-Body stood behind puzzled on what Atlas was doing. So, P-Body tapped Atlas's shoulder and cocked its body to the side to motion the body language, "what are you doing?" P-Body looked curiously at Atlas. Atlas shrugged, suddenly there was a long, metal moan that echoed off he vast walls. Atlas and P-Body looked around startled by the loud noise , and realized the catwalk they were on wasn't safe. P-Body began to shove Atlas forward and started to whistle and click frantically as Atlas tried to run fast enough, but their efforts weren't good enough. The rusted cables gave away and the two slid off the tilted catwalk and fell into free fall into the bottomless void, Atlas tried to fire his Portal but it was too late. . .
                                                    ---------------------------------

The two bots fell and clung onto one another readying themselves for a hard landing. Luckily the two were equipped with long fall leg joints and such, but Atlas was far heavier than P-Body. The two had their optics closed and when Atlas opened its optic it made a loud whistle-click noise, they were still falling and gaining speed, but as they fell, it got darker.... deeper, deeper, darker, darker... P-Body held Atlas tightly keeping its optic shut tightly
It felt like a solid thirty minutes when the two saw dim lighting and saw the black ground. Their optics widened, instinctively Atlas held P-Body over its head/body, P-Body didn't notice what its partner was doing. With a loud AAATHRRUMMPCREEECH!! Atlas dropped P-Body harshly after the powerful, forceful landing. P-Body opened it orange optic and made a gasp sound at the sight of its partner as it staggered up on its feet. Atlas's left leg took a lot of damage and was broken badly (so was the concrete floor) its right leg was okay but not by much. Atlas didn't express it, but it hurt, it hurt a lot! P-Body trembled all over and hugged its friend, Atlas hugged back and struggled to get on it's only good leg. With P-Body's aid, Atlas limped along with its partner.
They seemed to be in a old part of the facility, the long misty hall was overtaken by moss, water, and broken turrets with some other fallen junk, rust also covered the walls making the dim lighting turn everything a copper hue down there. Atlas and P-body listened as they slowly made their way down the long hall plop, plip, plop, plop, plip of dripping pipes of water. Atlas's leg sparked and fizzed as it limped on. P-Body now felt worried to the point its motherboard might overheat.
After a while of a long, slow walk the two stopped in front of a huge vault door that was stories high and buildings wide. Their optics widened on the sight, then they looked at each other, then back to the door. Atlas made a slow and deep clicking noise, and P-Body nodded slowly as it helped its partner closer to the door. They observed and saw two override buttons in front of the door side by side that could possibly open the door. P-Body helped Atlas to one button with the fewest stairs and went to the other, the two looked at each-other across the gap and pressed their buttons at the same time. The two jumped as Atlas almost fell and over toppled the railing behind him as the door's center groaned and screeched as it opened and a loud alarm that it was opening echoed loudly off the walls. The door screeched opened before the two bots made their way to each other and walked  through slowly.
Their optics widened as wide as they could before the eerie sight in front of them. Rows and rows of cylinder cells made of thick glass and filled with frozen gel each housing a test subject. A prerecorded message of Cave Johnson came on, the two bots were startled at the sudden recording that must have been triggered by motion.
" Hello, Cave Johnson here, if you were wondering or somehow stumbled on this place from the future. This is the Cryo-Sleep Chamber Facility, each of these cylinders contain a goo that when frozen can keep cells alive. However, this is a highly experimental test, we don't exactly know how long these chambers last. Some people die just from the first week, to a few months. Guess it depends on the person, anyway the three thousand brave souls you see right now are asleep and probably have been for a while. Some might be alive, look on the monitor thingy-ma-gigs and see if some are alive. Now, we don't know what this stuff does to a human yet, so if the era your in have time machines, come back in time and tell us the results! Might be interesting."
The words ended and bounced off the walls of the immense room. P-Body and Atlas stood, confused, they swapped glances at each other then began to walk sluggishly between the rows and rows of the dead human-popsicles. Each monitor was off or empty, none seemed to be alive so far. P-body walked by a chamber with its number labels worn away except for one zero. Atlas stared at that chamber long and hard, then its scanners beeped a Atlas, the monitor was on and had a small, weak pulse bouncing up and down in the center of the screen steadily. Atlas tugged on P-Body's arm, its partner turned and it too saw the monitor with its weak pulse. The two went to that chamber and nodded to each other and opened the chamber cell from both sides pressing two small buttons underneath. The lid of the cell flew open and steam rose from the melting goo, a woman was inside. The two robots gazed at her, she had a almost unhealthy slender, figure with short chocolate hair, she had pretty face with a mess of freckles on her cheeks, she was pale all over with plain white testing clothes on with just a tank top and skin tight shorts. She had a calm look on her face, a peaceful sleep. The two robots looked at her, then at each other. They thought the same thing... things weren't going to be the same. . .
