You decide to keep on following the trail. Your head is starting to droop with tiredness and the night is getting darker and colder, but you keep on going.
Your brother followed the stream, you can tell, and stopped to rest in a patch of bracken. But after about half the night of walking, his scent suddenly takes a sharp turn into the stream and disappears. But something is up. There are other cat scents here, and there is a bush that looks squashed, like a tree fell on it. However, there are no signs of a battle.
You:
1) Check the surrounding area.
2) Cross the stream and see if your brother's scent is on the other side.
3) Find a place to go to sleep.
4) Check the bush more thoroughly
