"Everybody has a choice that will affect the outcome of their world. Some choose to ideally look away from all the sins and crimes that are committed and choose to live on their life. Meanwhile so few good men choose to push away their own needs for the needs of others. These men are true heroes."
-Proverb of Light
Jake awoke tiredly pushing off his covers. He sat up in his bed pushing the covers back. He brushed his long hair back shaking his head. The cold morning breeze hit him like a freight train causing him to shiver a little.
"Damn cold." he complained as he looked at his watch, "Why am i up early?" he asked himself as he threw his covers off himself. He got up and walked over to the window across from his bed.
He looked out his window as he saw the city start to come to life. He admired it from up here since he had always lived on the streets of the city. But ever since the events that had recently fallen onto him and his friends to carry out justice and fight off the darkness that had risen.
He yawned as he started to turn to the door walking to it when he noticed his clothes, a pair of old jogging shorts and an old white t-shirt. He shook his head.
"Damnit, I can't wear this out there." he said as his clothes turned all black morphing into a shirt with blue jeans.
He nodded as he walked out of his room. One of the greatest, the most powerful and one of the greatest in his books and defined in his world as one of the strongest. To him it was an honor to be standing and filling in for the Avengers, Earth's self proclaimed mightiest heroes. And of all of the worlds mightiest heroes he could of taken up the mantle for he got one of the heroes that had not even been considered a true Avenger, Spider Man.
He wasn't to upset about becoming Spider Man because his powers where some of the most complicated and interesting of all the heroes. He turned a corner of the large hallway bumping into a girl who was a few feet smaller than, knocking her down. She let out a squeal as he caught her. She looked up at him with baize eyes blushing really hard.
"Hey Zoe.So sorry for that!" he said standing her up.
"It's fine you didn't mean to.....and i-i wasn't paying attention and and and...." the words ran out and she blushed hard tried to think of a way out of it but she felt a hand on her head.
"It's cool. It was just an accident." he smiled as he bent over grabbing her book. He handed her the book and walked to the side to her.
She watched as he continued down the hall and brushed a purple strand of hair out of her face. She had known him ever since he was a little boy, but through her life he only seemed to be confident and could care less about what everyone else thought about him. With her it was the exact opposite. She couldn't handle the pressure of talking to anybody who was new and even more so she couldn't handle the thought of being in front of crowds. Her appearance was something else that caused her to be more of an out cast. She had long brown hair that went below her waist, through the front of her hair was a purple streak. Her baize eyes where covered by black glasses. At this moment she wore a white t-shirt and a blue skirt. Around her neck was a neckless that had a circle eye called the Eye of Ogomoto that was said to have very vast magical power. Her only escape from this cruel world of crowds and judgement was a simple thing, literature. She had read many books in her life and she could recall all of them word for word.
It was an impressive feat but not many where impressed by the simple memorization of text, but only a few people where impressed by what she could do. Besides her parents her best friend Dianna was impressed and encouraged her and Jake and two of his friends where impressed. Mostly for the fact that she had a vast knowledge of mythology and science putting Jake's friend Hunter's vast knowledge to the test. For her she had been chosen to be the Doctor Strange.
