New Heroes

Chapter 7: A Team Assembled

"Hello?" Jake asked as he sat in an empty room.

  The room was white and bright with nothing surrounding him. He looked down at himself surprised to see he was wearing a white t-shirt and white jeans. He began to walk and as he walked he heard the last words of the Hunter. They continued to keep playing through his head but as he kept going the words started to sound more familiar. An image appearing before him. He took off running as fast as he could trying to reach the  image before it could get away, but as he drew closer to it the room started to go black.

"Wait, NO!!!!" he shouted as the darkness fell and surrounded him.

  He fell down deeper and deeper until he was falling backwards. He stuck his arms out trying to shoot his webs out, but nothing came. He tried to shout, to scream but no words came. His mouth closed not opening as he fell his arms and legs closing  as he was held in a board like position. 

"Jake."

   Jake sat up fast, panting fast looking around him. He felt a hand rest on his shoulder and he grabs it gripping it tightly. Ruby looks at him with a painful soft smile.

"It's just me." she says holding back a groan.

  He lets go his hand quickly going up to his head. Holding it as he panted hard. He pulled his hand away looking around the room. His dark blue eyes scanned the room taking in every detail they can. He sees that Yang, Blake and Weiss are no where to be found. He looks at Ruby who smiles as she looks at him. He sighed starting to relax his body, but suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his left arm. He groaned placing his hand on his shoulder as the symbiotie moved the fabric away showing the bandages. 

"They took the blade out but they said your gonna have a scar right there." Ruby said smiling.

He started to peel the bandages when Ruby grabbed his wrist, "Hey what's wrong?" he asked surprise.

"It won't be healed for a while. You shouldn't touch it." she says worried.

He looked at her and patted her head, "Don't worry i'm a stronger than i look." 

She smiled, "Yeah  i know. You are Spider Man."

"What? No i am not. Totally am not." he said.

"You are. We saw you in your costume." she smiled.

"Fine you caught me. Just don't let anyone know." he said as he took off the bandages.

She got up worried but was surprised when she saw their was nothing but an large scar, "Wow that's cool. It's not even there."

"Yeah....." he said as he got up out of the bed. His clothes changed to fresh new ones with just a thought as he headed for the door, but before he reached it he stopped, "Hey Ruby."

"Yeah Jake?"

"Thanks for sticking with me. I'll see you around." he said before he left out the door.

Ruby smiled as she heard that looking down. "Your welcome." she said quietly.

In the Tower

   Jake walked to the doors dressed in his outfit walking straight in, walking up to the desk. Ozpin turned in the chair looking at the young hero. He smiled and stood up grabbing his cane looking at Jake.

"So your already better. I wasn't expecting you to feel better so soon." he said.

"Well i have a good healing factor and i have a job to finish." Jake said as he walked up standing in front of Ozpin.

"Well we have one way of you choosing." Ozpin said handing him a tablet, "We have all the names of the teams that are available."

Jake looked at all the teams swiping up seeing many team names but two teams stuck out. JNPR and RWBY. The name RWBY intrigued him. He pressed on the teams name and was surprised to see Ruby and her friends.
