It was a warm morning in New York City as the city was bustling with activity. But our story does not take place here, it takes place high up above the city floor with the hero of our story.

"WOOOOOHHHHOOOOOO!!!!!!" Jake yells as he swings through the buildings going faster and faster.

People watched him swing by pointing and taking pictures. Jake swung faster going towards the park. He swung one last time as he let go of his web launching himself into the trees. He stopped himself landing perfectly in a group of trees hanging up above the floor in a web hammock. He was enjoying this. EVERYTHING. He had never felt so alive and free before.

His friends where enjoying everything as well. They had begun their work as heroes establishing themselves. But with all this good stuff happening to him he begun to realize he couldn't go back. Sure there where a lot of good things that came with the powers but with great powers comes great responsibility. Which he had heard a few times when he received the speech about how you shouldn't abuse your powers and stuff, which he wasn't because Jake is a good little boy.

He looked up at the sky and smiled as he closed his eyes ready to take a well deserved nap. But as our hero spoke dark deeds where taking place in a layer far under ground as dark forces monitor the human world. Around a table sit seven people hidden each in the shadows as the table displays an holographic image of New York.

"Has the hunter found his pray?" one of them asked in a gruff tone.

"No. He is a few miles away and is approaching fast." a female voice said.

"I grow inpatient! He should have been there by now!" a deep voice yells in anger as the figure started to move away from the table.

The smallest of the figures raised its hand, "Calm yourself. Father does not want us to leave unless it is necessary." it said in a young female voice.

"He is only a few feet away." another said in a teenage mans voice as a red blimp on the map reached a bright pink one.

"All we do is wait." another said in an adult mans voice.

     Back in the city

As Jake slept he was suddenly awoken by a small noise. He stirred for a minute until he sat up rubbing his eyes. He looked around at his surroundings not seeing anyone in this small area in the middle of the park. He laid back down and closed his eyes going back to sleep when he heard the voice again. He looked around and down at the ground as he saw a tiny pink light flash moving around. Jake raised an eyebrow as he jumped down. As he got closer he could see that it was a tiny girl trapped in a spider's web as the owner of the web began to close in.

"Help!!!" the girl yelled as she tried to get out.

"Not today buddy." Jake said as he picked the girl up out of the web.

The girl exclaimed as she sat in the palm of his hand, "That was a close one. Any longer and i would have been bug bait."

"Well spider's are actually arachnids." Jake replied.

"Huh? Is that a fact?" the girl said as she stood up in his palm, "Wait your not.....scared?"

"Uh no. Why should I?" he asked.

"No i won't do a thing to you." she replied as she dusted herself up noticing the giant spider web above his head, " Wait a sec? What's up with the giant spider web?"

"Uh not much....." Jake said as he tried to hide his shirt.

"Wait are you.....Him?" the girl asked.
