I knocked on the door unconfidently, praying that we were at the right studio, and let out a breath, very relieved when Molly opened the door revealing a small studio with a chic orange and grey design. We stepped in and Molly motioned for us to take a seat. Pleasantries were exchanged, but I was a little bummed that Ben and Ryan weren't anywhere to be seen.

"Okay," Molly started, "Now Skyler, it's my understanding that you don't have any performance background."

"No, but I can imagine myself being a good actress." I stated confidently, not wanting the offer taken away.

"Now I thought you'd be perfect, looking like a younger version of Tricia Davis, you two have the same bone structure"

"I'm not blond though," I said, twisting my hair around my finger. The hair I thought I loved I suddenly hated, only seeing it as another roadblock between me and this job.

"We might need to dye it a shade or two lighter, if that's okay, but it doesn't need to be blond. Now the one thing is, it would be a two month long process, so although it's being filmed mostly in Washington, you would have to be home-schooled for that period of time." I looked to my dad, not sure how he would feel about that, but surprisingly he nodded understandingly. My parents were taking all this in much better than I thought.

"As well as being on the road for most of that time, which results in time away from your family." She looked at the three of us. Clearly thinking we were a tight-knit family. I mean, we were average.

"She's pretty independent, so I don't feel that would be a huge issue," my mom told Molly.

"Well are you up for it?" Molly asked. I nodded my head excitingly, but sternly.

"Well than why don't you go into the booth and meet the boys, I don't believe they're in the middle of anything."

I suddenly felt very shy and self concious. What if they didn't like me? I slowly opened the door to the booth, not breathing in the slightest. Right there stood Ryan Lewis working at a huge mixing station, and Macklemore (Ben I guess, maybe?) leaning against the wall, humming a tune to himself. I closed the door behind me and they both looked up. Did they even know who I was?

"Hey you must be Skyler! I'm Ben and this is Ryan," He said motioning to Ryan, who gave me a 'hey there' gesture, ya know, the two-fingers-from-the-forehead-half-salute thing?

"Believe me I know who you two are, I love your guys' work. Oh and you can call me Sky," I added. Ben gave a slight nod, and his eyes sparkled. They're greener in person.

"So have you ever acted before?" Ben asked.

"Nope never, but hey there's a first time for everything," I shrugged, glancing back over at Ryan who was hard at work. My nerves flew away, but a few stayed in the pit of my stomach.

Ben must've noticed me watching Ryan because he said, "Sorry, he thinks he came up with a new beat, and he'll forget if he doesn't work with it now, he should be done soon." As if on cue Ryan took off his headphones and introduced himself to me, explaining that the beat was going nowhere anyway. I sat down on a spinny stool and we just sat talking for a little bit, mostly me asking questions, but then we started talking about the Seahawks, and I was giving most of the answers. I thought it would be awkward and full of silences, but something about their half shy, half outgoing personalities made the time fly by. Before I knew it it was time to go.

"Who knew I had so much in common with a 15 year old girl," Ben said laughing. They both gave me a small hug before I left out the door. My parents told me everything in the car ride home, from when the trip was starting (two weeks) to how much I'd get paid, I hadn't even thought of that. We got back home, and it was about 7, and it being a Sunday, I still had homework to do. But first I posted a picture of Ben, Ryan, and I at the studio, captioning it, 'hanging with these two for the next two months is gonna be a blast, got dat gig tho.' My inbox completely flooded with questions, I answered saying how I got the job, knowing I would be all anyone's talking about tomorrow. I didn't really want to seem like a show-off, I can try not to brag, but damn, this is big.

I finished all my algebra work with a newfound concentration and went and made some top ramen for dinner, me being the lazy person I am. I just prayed that it wasn't a dream when I finally fell asleep at midnight.
