Liliac woke in the morning unaware of where she was. She sprung up and reached for her knife under her pillow and didn't find it.

Where the- oh.

She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. It was messy after having slept on it wet. She glanced at herself in the mirror. She looked tired, but she had slept well the night before. Perhaps it was because she always looked tired.  Perhaps it was because there was a part of her that never truly slept.

She got ready for the day, throwing on black pants and a black t-shirt. She threw her wavy black hair into a high ponytail and stuck on her mask. Batman had told her not to allow anyone to know her true identity. He had obviously told Robin the same thing, as he wore sunglasses at all times.

She made her way to the lounge, her feet making no sound on the floor. She opened the cupboard and took out a cup, then proceeded to fill it with water. She turned and leaned against the counter.

"Don't be shy, I won't bite" She raised an eyebrow

"You don't exactly strike me as the nicest girl" Super Boy said in a low voice as he emerged from the shadows.

"I'm not. I'm just saying I don't bite, unless you want me to"

"I'll keep that in mind then" The stoic boy allowed a smirk to form on his face as he grabbed himself a glass of water and leaned on the counter next to Liliac. They stared at the wall.

"Your quite the sulky one" Liliac noted

"Family problems" He scoffed

"Superman can be a bitch"

"Tell me about it"

Liliac set her glass down and stood straight. She nodded a goodbye as she made her way to the training room. She had always been quite abrupt when it came to goodbyes and farewells and leaving. After all, what was she suppose to say? See you around??? No duh, they were stuck on the same base for who knows how long.

Liliac was in the training room working well into the morning, and it was almost noon by the time Robin sleepily stumbled in to check on her.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty" She chuckled as he entered, continuing her session with the punching bag

"How are you?" He mumbled sleepily, leaning on the wall with his arms crossed

"Okay" She breathed, turning to face Robin

"Good" He smiled, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes

"I talked to Super Boy" She said, before returning to the punching bag

"What's so special about him? Sulkiness??" Robin said, slightly defensive.

"He's nearly as bad as me" She joked, giving Robin a small smirk.

Robin chuckled, remembering the days in Gotham when he'd check up on her for her to be simply laying on the floor, staring at the ceiling, blasting music.

"Lily.... What are you doing?" Robin asked curiously, crouched on the windowsill of one of the open windows. She lived part-time in an abandoned house she had fixed up in the slums of Gotham, and Robin liked to visit her when she was home.

"I'm thinking" Liliac replied from her floor, though she smiled slightly at the nickname. As much as she groaned about it, she liked when Robin and Batman gave her little nicknames.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked, entering her room and closing the window

"Everything and absolutely nothing all at the same time" She would reply every time. Sometimes, Robin would lay next to her and they would lay in silence. He never quite understood the appeal. She always appreciated the company.
