Tossing and turning in bed unable to sleep. I just stare at my ceiling my glow in the dark stars shining down on me. The silence almost to much to bare, just me and my thoughts. "What if it gets to us, what if I loose my family? What would I do? No no stop its in DC. Its all the way in DC, we have to be safe here. DC is basically locked down, no one is getting out without being tested." Minutes seemed to turn to hours and hours of tossing and turning and thoughts flooding my brain. I eventually tire myself out, and fall asleep only to be awoken by my alarm blaring in my ear. I turn over and slam my hand on the alarm, the sun peeking through my curtain. "No No No" I yell throwing my pillow over my face. My dog jumped on my bed and laid on my belly like she does every morning. Her entire 170 pounds of fur and fat crushing me. Shes and Australian Shepherd, white and red, and the sweetest dog i've ever owned. "Good morning to you to wiggle butt" I say, my voice muffled by the pillow on my face. I hear a knock on my door, removing the pillow and letting it fall to the ground. "Come in" I yell still refusing to move. "Good morning Darling" I hear my moms voice echo from my doorway. I start making my usual I'm so tired noises and groans. "Mom please I promise i'll never ask again but i didn't get much sleep last night, please just let me sleep, screw school" I hear her giggle, well your in luck, schools actually canceled today, but that good news comes with some bad as well"
