A New Friendship

Chapter 3: Timmy Turner

     I was pacing back and forth in my room.

     "Timmy, why are you so stressed by this news?" Wanda asked me concerned.

     "Because Danny's gonna be here soon...and I'm nervous," I said, "What if he doesn't like me?"

     "Oh, Timmy, don't think that way. He's going to love you."

     "You think so?"

     "Either that, or he'll want to rip your heart out," said Cosmo smiling.

     "Cosmo, you're not helping."

     "I know, I just wanted someone to pay attention to me!"

     "Oh, Timmy!" called my parents.

     "Oh no! He's here!" I exclaimed. My fairies turned into goldfish and jumped into the fishbowl.

     "Don't worry, Timmy," Wanda said winking.

     I walked out the room with my four goldfish in my fishbowl, and Sparky next to me. I felt like they were my fairy posse. Always there to protect me when I may be in danger. Well, here I go.

     I walked out the door. I saw my parents opening the door to a kid with black hair like Chip Skylark. His eyes were a light blue, and he was wearing a white shirt with a red oval in the middle with jeans and sneakers.

     "Hello, are you the Turners?" asked the boy.

     "Why, yes we are. Our son will be down in a second," said mom, "While you wait, make yourself at home!"

     I watched as this new stranger walked in and sat on my couch. I started to feel nervous and inched back towards my room.

     "Timmy, you can do it. Don't be nervous," said Wanda.

     "Or, you could-"

     "Cosmo, stop it!"

     "I feel so unwanted!" Cosmo cried.

     "Well...time to meet this kid," I said as I started my way down the stairs.

     But then, for some strange reason, I fell down the steps and fell face flat on the floor. Way to make your first impression, Timmy. I dropped the fishbowl, and had no idea where it landed. One look up, and I saw my fish out of water. Where was the bowl? On top of Danny's head.

     "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" I apologized.

     Danny removed the fishbowl from his head.

     "It's okay, Timmy, right?" he asked.

     I nodded as I got up. I felt like an idiot! I didn't know what else to say...although the only thing I did say was sorry.

This was going to be a rough couple of weeks.
