I tap my finger to the beat of the song playing on my earbuds as I read my book, riding in the back of a limo to some mansion where I'll be moving in. My father thought it would be best if I moved away from the countryside and went to night school since I liked staying up all night and sleeping all day. I was supposed to be moving in with a few others, six boys and a girl who all went to the same night school that I was going to be starting at. The limo soon stopped so I closed my book and got right out, grabbing my suitcase from the trunk and walking up to the front door.
"Wow, these people must be loaded or something," I mutter to myself then use the door knocker.
The door creaks open by itself so I just walk right in, looking around at the seemingly empty mansion.
"Anyone here?" I call out.
I walk further in then notice a guy sleeping on a couch, I assumed he liked music since he had earbuds in as he slept. I decided not to bother him as I walked further in before seeing a girl walking towards me, I could see she was saying 'hello' but I couldn't hear a thing with my buds in.
"Welcome, you must be Luna," she said.
I could clearly read her lips, "Luna Fire, call me by either name, I couldn't care less," I say.
"Well we are happy you decided to move in with us," she says.
"Didn't really have much of a choice, my old man made me move here since there's no night school near where I used to live," I shrug a bit.
"My name is Yui, let me introduce you to everyone else," she gestures for me to follow her and I comply.
She leads me to a living room where five guys are all waiting, I get the feeling I'd need to hear so I take one of my buds out and let it hang from the cord.
"Hey, where is Laito?" Yui asks the others.
I spot the orange haired male I saw earlier, "That guy was on a sofa near the door when I walked in, how did he get here so fast?"
I feel warm breath blowing across my neck then a voice close to my ear, "She smells sweet, almost as good as Yui."
I get confused then look over my shoulder at a red haired guy in a fedora, "Um, thanks?"
A male with purple hair and glasses speaks up while adjusting said glasses, "Laito, please refrain from doing such activities outside of your room."
Yui begins to introduce everyone, "Sorry, the guy with the glasses is Reiji, the one with half his shirt buttons undone is Ayato, the pervert behind you is Laito, the one with the teddy bear is Kanato, the guy with white hair is Subaru, and the one asleep on the couch is Shuu. He doesn't do much except sleep everywhere."
I smile a bit and bow, "Nice to meet everyone."
Yui smiles, "I'll show you to your room," she gesture again for me to follow and I do so.
"Laito looks kind of like an idol," I say as I take off my jacket since I was getting hot, I had bandages on both of my forearms, "Though I have no clue what he meant by I smell almost as sweet as you."
"Ignore him," she says then stops in front of a door, "Here's your room, I'll call you when dinner is ready," Yui says then walks off.
I walk into the room and start unpacking, taking out my ice skates first and hanging them on a hook on the wall. I hum as I put my clothes in the dresser, I'm soon finished and I figure that I have some free time so I start to sing softly to myself as I twirl around the room.
"Can you hear my heart beat? Tired of feeling, never enough. I close my eyes and tell myself that my dreams will come true. There'll be no more darkness when you believe in yourself, you are unstoppable. Where your destiny lies, dancing on the blades, you set my heart on fire! Don't stop us now, the moment of truth. We were born to make history." I continue to sing and dance until I hear someone clear their throat. I look and see Ayato laying on my new bed, watching me with a slight smirk.
"You've got quite the voice with moves to match," he says, obviously trying to get a reaction out of me.
I just smile, "Thanks, I was a professional figure skater back home, I ha-."
He cuts me off by suddenly grabbing my wrist and pulling me on top of him. He was frowning, apparently he didn't get the reaction he wanted so he tried something different.
He pulled me against him, "Shut up, Piggy, you live with us now so you have to do what we say. Especially if the command is from Yours Truly."
I look up at him in confusion, "Do you always refer to yourself as 'Yours Truly'?" I ask. No way in hell was I gonna give him the satisfaction of me obeying him or getting a reaction out of me, so I just brushed the 'Piggy' remark off.
I try to get away but he just grabs my other wrist and looks at the bandages, "What's with this shit?"
"Fashion statement," I lie with a shrug then hear the magnificent voice of my savior.
"Ayato! Let her go and both of you come down to dinner," Yui says, crossing her arms.
He lets me go then gets up and leaves the room in a huff.
I sit up and sigh, "Well he's an ass who has way too much pride, thanks for rescuing me. He looked like he was just about ready to rip my throat out," I chuckle.
"Sorry about him, come on down to dinner, it's all ready," she says.
I get up then follow her to the dining room, taking a seat at the table in the only empty seat available. Everyone is silent as they start eating which was a bit uncomfortable for me but I didn't say anything as I ate too. I glanced up every now and then to see at least two or more guys looking at me as if they would rather like to be eating me instead of the steak in front of them.
Reiji finally broke the silence to my relief, "How do you like the dinner, Luna?"
I smile at him, "It's really good, thank you to whoever cooked it."
"That would be me," Yui says.
I smile at her, "Thank you, it's perfectly cooked," I say.
She smiles right back then continues eating and the silence returns. It wasn't that long before Shuu just got up and left the table without a word, leaving his food that was barely touched. Everyone else soon finished and left the table too, I stayed and helped clean up even though Yui said I didn't need to. I insisted and she let me help, I passed by Reiji on my way to the kitchen and saw him smiling like he was pleased that I looked like I was going to be pulling my weight around here.
"Reiji seems to like me," I tell Yui as we both reach the kitchen.
"Because you're cleaning up without being forced to, he'll put you to work by tomorrow," she says.
"I don't mind, I'm a hard worker," I say as I set the dishes in the sink and start to wash them by hand, "But the others don't seem to like me that much, they kept staring at me all through dinner."
"You'll get used to it, did Ayato bite you?" she asks.
"Bite me? No, why would he do that?"
"You'll find out soon enough, it's probably best you don't hear it from me."
