SO I JUST SAW A BUNCH OF PICTURES BY VIRIA AND SHE IS AWESOME!!!!!! CHECK THEM OUT. BUT WHEN I SAW THE PICTURE OF ANNABETH AND PERCY IN TARTARUS, IT SEEMED SO REAL AND SCARY. SO I DECIDED TO WRITE HOW THEIR LIVES WERE AFFECTED AFTER GOING TO TARTARUS.

PERCY

Images flash through my head of death and gore. Children are dying right in the hands of Gaia, and I'm standing right there, doing nothing about it.

Then I see Annabeth.

Her hair is strewn across her face, her arms and legs permanently marked with scars, and her eyes are begging for me to help. But I just stand there.

ANNABETH

I instantaneously wake from a piercing yell. It's coming from Percy's room. Oh my gods, is he all right? I pick up Luke's dagger and jolt off to Percy's room. Jason and Hazel are there.

"Annabeth," Hazel gulps. "I think you should go in there first."

I nod, and push the door open. Percy is sitting upright in his bed, panting and clutching his bed sheets. His eyes have not changed since we've been to Tartarus, they're still small from the terrors we saw in there.

I walk up to him as Hazel and Jason enter the room. He is as stiff as a log. "I'm here, Percy."

I pass my fingers through his hair. His eyes don't even move as he tries to grab my hand. I let him. Jason and Hazel just stand there gawking. "Annabeth..." He whispers.

I slowly help him lean down into his bed, still clutching my hand. Soon after, he falls asleep. Jason clears his throat. "What happened to him?" He asks, genuinely scared. I open my mouth, but no sound comes out.

Tartarus happened, my dear demigods.

Hazel looks up. "Go away, Gaia!"

I'm just telling you the truth. Perseus Jackson has entered Tartarus, and now he will have side affects from it.

I raised my dagger. "What do you mean?"

Silly daughter of the wisdom goddess, Perseus is merely experiencing deep pain and torture.

My arm faltered. Your leader is not such a leader anymore.

"Gaia, stop it!" I screamed. No answer.

I looked at Percy's unconscious body in fear. Jason tried to comfort me. "Percy's strong. He'll be alright."

But he sounded like he was trying to even convince himself.
