Seb's p.o.v.
"Everything ready for tonight Chris?" I asked him when I entered his house. We got the crazy idea of spending the last day of the year at his house, everyone together.
"Every problem we got is fixed, so I guess everything is ready." Chris answered from his kitchen.
"Hayley hasn't arrived yet?" I asked him.
"Not yet, but she texted me she's almost here." He said.
"Any idea what's she's going to cook?" Hayley had volunteered to cook for all of us, and we happily agreed.
"No, but it's probably something great." Chris said while taking a towel. I wanted to say something but that's when the doorbell ran.
"Look who's here!" Chris said when opening the door.
"Hi guys! Ready for this party?" Hayley asked when she entered with tons of bags. If all of that is food I'll need some new clothes after this evening.
"Of course we are!" Chris said happily. Yeah, this is going to be a great party.
*1 hour later*
"Why is there a wild Jeremy climbing into your backyard?" Hayley asked when she looked out of the window. What is he doing now?
"Jeremy! What are you doing?" Chris yelled with his head out of the window. "Are you crazy?! It's freezing outside!"
"Don't be crazy Chris! It's not freezing! It's just a bit colder than normal but I got my cap, you see?" Jeremy yelled back. It looked like he was busy with some sort of robe.
"Ok but what are you doing in my backyard?" Chris ask-yelled.
"Technically this is not your backyard. This is the zone between my backyard and yours. And this is your surprise for the new year!" Jeremy answered.
Chris sighed. "Just don't do anything stupid and don't hurt yourself ok?"
"Ok!" Jeremy yelled back.
Mel's p.o.v.
"You look beautiful Mel!" Jason said from his spot on the couch.
"Thanks but look at you! Why so handsome? A special reason?" I asked him teasingly. He shook his head.
"Or for someone special?" He started blushing. "I knew it! Who is it?"
"Will you drop it for now? I promise I will tell you next year." He said, still with that blush on his face.
"Is it someone I know?" I asked him, jumping down next to him on the couch.
He sighed. "Mel..."
"Ok, I'll shut up." I sighed. "Is he going to be at the party?" I just couldn't stop myself, I had to ask.
"Mel!" He said smacking my leg. Ok, I'll let it rest...for now.
"Shouldn't we leave? We promised Chris to help a bit, didn't we?" He asked, subtle change of subject... I'll keep an eye open for him this evening.
