He waited at the corner table in Le Rouge restaurant for his date. It was 10:59 and for him time couldn't be going any slower. 29 seconds....28 seconds......27....26.....25.... he watched his watch intently.
"I hope you haven't been waiting to long", a soft voice broke his concentration. His head whipped up fast, nearly giving him whiplash. Standing up fast he moved to her chair fast making sure to be gentlemen.
"Thank you Mr Jones", she whispered as she sat down.
"You look lovely today Anaya",he complimented.
"Umm..."
"No need to reply", he chuckled back.
She really did look nice today because she had put that extra effort into her look. Her new AX Paris dress hugged her body like a second skin, showing off all her curves, which she always like to hide. Today she wanted to impress Mr Jones for some reason. Maybe because she hadn't had a guy ask her out and she actually accepted the offer. She usually said no to guys because she wanted to be fully concentrated on the company.
"So why are you interested in Garcia hotels", she asked curiously.
"What isn't there to be interested in your business? Its the highest grossing company in the top ten hotels worldwide. I've been in your hotel once and I will not go to any other hotel. You guys know how to create an experience for your customers", William answered enthusiastically.
"I'm happy to hear that. At least all my long weekends are paying off", she said sipping her wine.
"You work on weekends?" he questioned concernedly.
"Uh.. yes, do you not?" she wondered.
"No not usually. I like to relax on the weekend", he said as if it was a given thing."
"Oh well, I like to make sure I'm on top of my work so I can take a break whenever I want to."
The two of them continued to chat as if they were friends forever. They flirted and teased till it was time to leave.
"Oh no. I'm going to be late", Anaya muttered as she glanced at her phone.
"Please let me take you back", William rushed to her chair.
"No..no..My driver is outside waiting. It was really nice seeing you. Maybe we can do it again some time without business?"she asked timidly.
"That would be very nice Anaya. I'll text you a time", he replied confidently.
"I really have to go. Bye", she shouted from the car door.
Before he could say bye back she was gone. He was so happy with the way things had turned out. She was amazing, perfect for him.
Ring...ring...ring..
"Hello Anaya Garcia speaking"
"I never got to say bye back, so goodbye beautiful", he whispered into the phone.
"Oh...g..goodbye Mr Jones. Till we meet again", she blushed.
"Till we meet again", he answered huskily.
The phone cut and was left feeling stunned. No one had ever spoken to her like that. She held the phone tightly till the car stopped infront of her workplace.
"Thank you Bruce", she called out to the driver as she used out.
"No problem Miss", he replied sweetly.
Running through the office to get to her desk in time for the next meeting seemed to be the new thing for her. Why she becoming like this?
