Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2

Once we got to the bar, Sam drifted off, leaving me and Harry, sitting at the counter, and both of us had, had a few drinks.

"How old are you?" he rudely asks.

"21, you?"

"23" Harry sits for a moment, "How long have you known Sam?"

"Middle school. He's 25, got held back, in 8th grade"

"Oh. Do you think you could win a fight, against him?"

"Maybe. If I tried, really hard" both of us laugh at that statement, but only for a second.

"Hailey, are you single?". I was worried, that question would come up.

"Actually, no, I'm not" At that moment, I feel a hand on my shoulder and warm lips press to my neck.

"What a surprise to see you here, love" my boyfriends' voice says, in my ear. "Who's this?" he asks gesturing to Harry.

"Luke, this is Harry. Harry, this is my boyfriend, Luke" I turn to him, "We were just talking about you"

"Really, you were?" Luke interrogates.

"Yeah. Hey have you seen Sam?"

"Right there" he answers, pointing at my drunken trainer, on the other side of the building.

"Good. I didn't know if he left or not; he's my ride home"

"I can take you" Harry insists, beside me.

At that point, Luke becomes very overprotective and gets in his face, "You, so much as come within 3 feet of her and I will see that any page of you that crosses, be removed" he bites.

"I'll remember that" Harry smiles, a cheeky grin, his dimples showing.

Luke pressed a light kiss, to my lips, said his goodbyes, and left the little bar. Harry looked at me sceptically and said, "I don't like him"

"You better be nice, 'cause as long as I'm with him you get to put up with him"

"Uh... Why?" he moans, at that moment Sam stumbles over, leaning on everything, trying not to fall down.

"You ready to go?" he stutters.

"Yeah, I guess so" I approve.

Harry gives me a concerned look, "You can't drive, Sam, you're drunk. I'll drive. We can pick up your car tomorrow."

"Fine" he grumbles. We pay our tabs and the three of us go to Harry's car.
