Chapter 25- i love you more

(A/n: thank you for everything! This is the LAST chapter but there is gonna be a sequel and it's gonna be about what happens when Elaine can finally leave. So check that out when it's up it's gonna be called 'Wherever you are' with lots of new things and characters so I hope y'all will like it but for now enjoy the ending!)

***Elaine's pov***

"Is there a Luke Hemmings here?"

I panicked. I froze.

How'd they find out? What's going on?

"Is that a no?," the policeman says after waiting a couple of seconds for my response.

"i-i-i...um"

"Or maybe you're familiar with a Mark Hood?"

Mark? Really luke?

My dad yells from the living room, "Who is it?"

The officers move me aside and come in. I just stand there with my heart beating out of my chest. I stand there until the door closes and follow them into the room.

My mom stands up quickly and looks at Luke.

Luke looks at Calum quickly then me. I had fear in my eyes and he could see it.

"There they are," one cop says pointing to Calum and then Luke.

My Dad tries to come in a say something, "What going on officer?"

I stand by my mom still frozen and knowing what was going to happen. I clingy onto her arm just like Grace did when she was scared. My mom rubs my back trying to calm me down a little.

"Well Mr.Weston these boys lied to gate officers, have been on private property and mr. Mark here is in violation of the contract he signed at city hall with the mayor."

My dad looks at Luke and puts his head down. He didn't know what to say..no one did.

My dad finally says, "Well how'd you guys find out?"

"Ms.Mary's neighbors called saying there was an unfamiliar car in her driveway. Ran the plate and came back to him," he says pointing to Luke.

Luke stands there playing with his lip ring.

"What's going to happen officer?," my mom says.

He goes on about how irresponsible we were and how people like Luke mess things up.

The whole time my eyes were on Luke's, his on mine. Mine were worried and scared, Luke's were worried to but not scared.

Finally the cop turns Luke and Calum around and takes out his handcuffs.

"L-luke.." I say trying my hardest not to let a tear spill out.

He turns his head around and says, "it's okay lane, everything will be okay. Just let it out.."

I let a couple tears spill out and Luke turns his head and looks down.

The officers pull them up roughly and make them walk out the door. Luke never looks at me.

I follow them out the door and so do my parents.

They start to put Calum up first. And Luke was next.

I sprint of my porch and run to where Luke was. The cop was busy putting Calum in and the other one was already in the car so I had a little time with Luke.

I hug him and hold onto him tight.

"Elaine please," he says while putting his head onto my shoulders. He tries to hug me back but can't because of the cuffs.
