Felix's POV

"If you didn't come in sooner then you could've gotten infected." The doctor told me while stitching up my wounded back.

"Yeah," I muffled back, face flattening on the hospital bed. Luckily she gave me something to numb the pain, or else this would hurt like a bitch! Or at least far more worse than the pain I had to endure from Erin  a few hours back.

"How did you end up like that?" She asked.

I lifted my head up and paused in hesitation. How do I explain this current situations? Never came up with one. I gaze to the girls right in front of me by the counter. Marzia was as hesitant as I was and Erin was trying to gaze down at something from behind her without looking conspicuous. "Fell on some shards of glass." I answered, hoping she wouldn't  have any further questioning for my obvious vague answer.

Right now, I'm in some kind of urban town where Erin and Marzia teleport to for supplies. This town doesn't have much. Just some houses, a school, a store, a hospital, even a prison.

"Alright, you're all finished up here."

" Thank you very much, Doc." I tried sitting up, hoping not to pop a stitch, but was slammed back down into my belly.

"Na-uh. Don't you move. I just patched you up. You need to stay in that position for a day or two. " She instructed.

No! That would be too late! Who knows what would happen to Jack by then. "Sorry, but I can't. I gotta find-" I paused and the two girls swished their heads back at me as I was about to reveal Sean's location to the authority. They can't know about the impending war that I'm trying to prevent. If they get involve the entire operation would be ruined and millions of lives will be lost, not just the town, but the world!

"... A friend..." Marzia finished for me.

"Was he kidnapped?"

Not yet anyway... Depends on which one you're talking about.

I shrugged in response.

"Well, whatever problem they have, we'll have the authorities find your kidnapped friend. Or if that's not the case, then he can wait for your recovery." The doctor went to the counter and slightly pull out drawer, enough for her hand to poke in, revealing a tube and a syringe from a drawer.

Erin and Marzia covertly gaze down at the counter with drawer with a tray of labeled syringes and test tubes before the doctor closes it with her hip. The girls, back and forth from me to the tray, but I just plop my face back on the sheets with an annoyed groan.

"Uh, Doctor?" Erin's voiced. " I think the pain med is wearing off."

"Oh, lemme go get some more." Then mumbled, " especially after the last incident..." before the door shut.

I lifted by head back up. "What does she mean by- never mind. Come on, help me get off and get out of here. "

"Don't you worry about injuring yourself even further. " Erin said. " You go and rest while we go find my boyfriend. "

"Besides, we'll look less suspicious. " Marzia added.

"You two are gonna die out there. " I muffled, putting my face back down.
