Fandom: The Fifth Wave

So, this is fucking great! You don't have any food left and you're away from civilization. You were in the forest which is bad enough since you don't know what's going to happen. Like traps and possibly, The Others. You don't really have a goal. The only goal is to survive. Now the side goal is to find food. 

You look around to see anything and didn't see anything. You sighed and walk to a different direction as you walk, you see some traps but you also felt someone watching you. Before you could do anything, you heard a gun shot and you were pulled by someone.

You look at the person who was a little bit taller than you and he was firing at someone as well. You were sure he was firing at someone who was fired probably at you. After they've done, the person who pulled you looks at you. You weren't gonna lie. He is attractive.

But you can't let your guard down because of that. Anyways, you thank him. "Thank you for....saving me." You say that awkwardly. It's been a long time since you say thank you to anyone. But right now you need to thank him.

"You're welcome. May I ask why are you in the forest?" He questioned you. You basically explain why. He nodded. "Why don't you stay at my house? I got some food." He said and you quickly shake your head no and said. "No, no, that's fine. You have done enough for me."

And you don't know this guy. You know his name which is Evan Walker and he knows your name but that mean anything. "Well, if your goal is to survive and not going anywhere. You can stay at my house. Since I'm not going anywhere as well." He said.

"....Nah. I appreciate the offer but I don't really trust you. Thank you again." You said and walk away as much as you wanted to accept the offer. You really can't trust anyone. After what happen in.... there.

\---_Flashback_---/

You and your sister stand together in the house. Since they order the adults to gather around here while those children went to the bus. You were listening to what the soldiers say and then you heard a gun shot and everyone try to get out but it didn't work.

You play dead on the floor. You try to stay silent to cut you sobs out so no one suspect a thing. But before they could leave the house, shed thing. They shoot you and other people one last time. You try not to move around much.(I don't know but for me if you didn't move around much then you don't feel it happened. But I'm sorry if this is wrong.)

After a few minutes of silence, you assume that already left. You carefully stand up, try not to move around so much. UNluckily, the bullet still inside you. You quietly sighed. You look beside you and see your sister laying there motionless. You carefully flip her over and listen and feel her heartbeat.

But there's none. You silently cried, after mourning your sister death. You stand up and grab anything useful for the survival.

You went back to your small base and sleep. Another day without food. You want to meet this Evan guy but you were sure you aren't going to see him again. So, it's useless to search for him after what happened.

The next morning, you saw a letter beside you with some stuff. You look at the letter and it reads.

"This kinda awkward to say but I just wanted to help you even if it means to watching you from a far. But I have a good reason. The reason is that I want to give you some of my food. Don't worry, I don't steal anything."

You open the box and see cans of food. You smile a little. You want to thank him in person but you don't know where he lives. You sighed. Take one can of food and open it with a knife. You write a letter for him in case he come back without you knowing.

After couple of days later, you got a new letter and few cans of food just like last time. You read it.

"You're welcome. I hope you don't mind me coming to your house for awhile since I just want to get to know you better." You thought it wouldn't be so bad since he did give you cans of food. So, you let him stay here for a few minutes.

In the afternoon, he did visited. You two talk for awhile and he did the offer again. Stay with him. But you decline it as well. But you two stay as friends, you two would scavenging together. You could say it was fun.

After awhile of scavenging together, you develop feelings towards Evan like love but you felt weird. As if you can't tell him. Society doesn't even matter now but since you're a male and he's also a male. You just can't come out and tell him about it.

Maybe one day you can come out and tell him about your feelings to Evan.
