Author Note: So, this is request was like 3 months ago. Sorry, Maggie. The story doesn't really follow the storyline of the film. I only put the things I remember from the movie. The reader is like 2 or 3 years younger than Eric. So here's the story.

Being a princess isn't bad but there's some point that you just get bored and got nothing to do. Your father doesn't really allow you to go anywhere without a supervisor which can be annoying sometimes, where you just want some privacy.

You finally find a way to get out without anyone see you. You've done it for a few times and it worked! You always wanted to go to the beach and want to feel the water, wind blowing through your hair and the sand on your bare feet.

You take a scarf and make it into a hood to cover your hair, so no one would recognize you in the street. You bought a normal dress from the previous escape. You look at yourself in the mirror and smiled, the dress looks great on you. It wasn't too flashy like a princess's dress.

But it was beautiful. You went to your usual escape route and went to the beach.

By the time you get there, it was noon. You look at every little detailed on the beach. It was beautiful. You sigh happily as you feel the wind blow in your face, you took off your shoes and stocking to feel the water and sand. Little did you know, someone was watching you.

You felt someone was watching you, you turn your head around to see if someone was really watching you, you saw a shadow quickly went away. You went to the place where the shadow disappeared. Which seem a bit dangerous since there are few spiky rocks.

You saw a red haired girl in the ocean, you were about to call out for her but she went for a dive. But in a quick glance, you see a green tail. "Could she be a mermaid?" You thought for a second but you quickly shake the thought. Maybe it was just your imagination.

Or maybe mermaids are real.

You went back to your shoes and stay a little longer before you went back home. You wish to meet that girl again.

It's been three weeks since you saw the girl and your brother is out in the sea. You were worried since it's been a few hours since the storm hits. It was a never good idea to go out sailing with a storm. Well, it wasn't raining cats and dogs when Eric went out. In fact, it was sunny.

The rain has stopped and you changed your clothes to went to the beach. You don't know why but you had a feeling something happened on the beach. When you arrive at the beach, you saw your brother on the shore with the same red-haired girl you saw last three weeks.

You find a place to hide, you have to see the scene without getting caught. You look at the girl and saw that she has a tail of a fish. You silently gasped when you saw the tail, there really was a being called mermaids....and merman as well.

It seems like your brother was awake and the mermaid stayed for a bit before went back to the sea. You sighed in disappointment, you really wanted to meet her but you guess, the mermaids can't have any human to know or see them.

You cursed yourself because you want to run towards your brother to see if he's alright but since you were wearing the clothing that civilians wear. It might be a bad idea to go and see him. So, you started to think about what to do but then you hear someone running.

You look over and see Grimsby. That's when you realize you have to get back to the castle before they did. So, off you go.

Luckily, you're the one who arrives at the castle first. You change your clothes and do your hair so that you won't look suspicious. "Maybe I will see her another time." You thought and place your clothes in the secret box.
