Wherever you are chapter 1.
"Bullshit! absolute bullshit" I whispered stomping my feet into the fresh crunchy snow.
I pulled my hat tighter and shoved my hands in my pockets.
Walking in a blizzard on the first day after Christmas vacation wasn't planned, my mom had been called in early for a " job emergency" and my dad had been out of town for a business meeting all week.
I put in my earphones so I didn't have to listen to the children across the road laughing and throwing snowballs.
I decided, who needs school anyways? One day won't do me any bad. Plus nobody will probably even be there.. No one in my town knows how to snow plow to save their life.
Plus my mom or dad won't be home to here them call for me skipping, I can just go home quick enough and delete the message.
I practiced my " oh yeah school was great, I think I did good on my math test!" And " well the walk to the school wasn't that bad and when I got inside I was fine." While I walked downtown. Then it occurred to me I probably looked crazy.
I had stopped in front of the town hall, to see a young boy playing guitar in the sheltered area of the hall.
I took one earphone out then the other. He was good. Better keep walking though, I don't want to become a human icicle.
" hey! Don't walk away. Come here." I heard an Australian voice say. Must be talking to someone else.
" I know you heard me! Come over!" He yelled again.
I turned and looked around.
I looked at the boy playing the guitar.
I pointed at myself and mouthed "me?"
" of course you! What other beautiful girl would be walking out in this kinda weather." He said.
Sweet. I've caught the eye of a bum Australian boy.
I walked up the steps and sat down beside him.
" any reason why you're out here in the cold dalin'?" He asked looking at his guitar.
" any reason your playing your guitar in the snow?" I asked laughing.
" I guess I'm a bit crazy.. But you seem a bit crazy too. Maybe we're meant to be." He laughed.
" well my mom told me not to talk to strangers so if I married one I think she'd be a bit upset." I smiled.
He looked at me and smiled.
" what?" I asked.
" nothing." He said looking back at his guitar.
" you like 5sos?" He asked.
" haven't listened to them." I said.
" really? You're missing out." He told me.
" maybe I'll listen to them." I said pulling my phone out.
He laughed.
" am I missing out on something?" I asked as I typed in some of their music.
" course not. Click that one." He said pointing at a song called " wherever you are"
I watched it and.. It was him.
