Wherever you are chapter 17
It's the day.
My stomach turns and my throat aches.
I get out of bed and look over at Luke.
I choke back my tears and get dressed. This is the last time I'll get to see his sleeping face for 3 months.
Putting my hair in a bun I look back at him again.
4am in the morning.
" Luke get up." I said quietly.
" LUKE GET UP! I yelled.
He jumped.
" what what's going on." He asked.
" you're leaving that's what's going on." I said sadly.
He got quiet. He left his bags at my house overnight.
He got up and walked into the bathroom. I heard the tap turn on and then off.
I grabbed some of his bags and he got the others.
" I'm dropping Luke off mom." I yelled into her door before dragging myself down the stairs.
I grabbed my car keys and opened the door.
I wish I could go on a walk right now. Well. I wish Me and Luke could go on a walk together.
" the sunrise is beautiful." I said in awe.
" so are you." He said.
I shut the door and unlocked my car.
I crammed his bags in my trunk and he got in the front beside me.
I turned on my car and sat there for a minute.
" Kassy are you ok?" He asked.
Tears welled in my eyes.
" do i look ok?" I asked looking at him.
" Kassy please don't I love you too much." He said before hugging me.
My eyes burned and my throat ached.
" please don't go please don't Luke please." I cried.
I could hear him crying.
" I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I can't please understand." He said patting my head.
I climbed out of his arms and put my hands on the steering wheel.
I took a deep breath.
" 3 months." I whispered.
" only 3 months." He said.
