Just when I thought everything was getting back to normal, it got worse. When Isaac and I walked outside, a hydrant was spraying water all over the street and a electrical cord was flying from the top of the building. I saw Kira on the other side so I walked to go warn her, but Isaac pushed me out of the way.

His feet landed on the water. His body started to shake as he fell to the floor. "Isaac!"

People all around me didn't watch where they were going and stepped into the electrocuted water. On the other side, Scott and Derek were looking at Kira who jumped over a car; howver, she wasn't effected by the electricity. She grabbed the wire and stopped the power.

Everything had happened so fast, I didn't even realize Isaac was still on the ground. Derek was the first to run up to him and check his pulse. "He's not breathing. He's not breathing! Kayla, Scott!"

I was over next to Isaac in a split second, checking his pulse just to make sure. He indeed wasn't breathing. "No no no. Isaac!"

Doctors came over to us and picked up Isaac. I was going to follow them, but Scott held me back by the arm. "Kayla we can see him tomorrow, but for now, you need rest."

______________

As I was getting ready for school the next day, last nights events started to replay in my mind. It should've been me who got electrocuted; it should've been me who's in that hospital bed right now.

"Hey," Scott interrupts me from my thoughts as he knocks on my door. "Ready?"

I nod my head and pick up my bag before following him down the stairs. We pass by Melissa who was sitting at the dinner table, a coffee in her hand.

"Any news?" Scott asks, referring to Stiles.

He had escaped the hospital last night. Everyone knew now that the nogitune had power over him. My regular self was saying that this was good, we can all defeat him together. However, my grim reaper side was saying of how this was ruining our plan for the both of us; that I needed to help him.

"They're still looking for him," Melissa sighs, staring off into space. "It's past the 48 hour mark, but I guess if anyone's going to be missing for two days and turn up just fine, it's Stiles."

"How about Isaac?" This was the question that's been on my mind for the past couple hours. "Is he healing okay?"

Melissa stands up and pats my shoulder. "Maybe we should go by the hospital before school."

_____________

When we entered the hospital, Melissa guided us to the room he was in. She slid her key card and the doors opened. Isaac was laying in a bed, the wounds on him were awful. "Be quick."

It was just Scott and I now. We started walking towards the bed, but when I saw how badly he looked, I grabbed Scott's hand for support. He looked down at our entwined hands before continuing to walk.

Tears were already starting to form in my eyes when I asked, "I-I thought he'd be healing by now."

"So did I," Scott grabs Isaac's arm with his free one. "He's in pain."

Scott then starts to take Isaac's pain away, his veins growing dark. Isaac starts to slowly move around in his bed, but he isn't waking up.
