I am sitting between mom and dad watching Toy Story, the absolute best movie ever. Dad is holding mom's hand over my shoulder as we snuggle closer together.
''Daddy, do you really have to go?'' I ask looking up at him.
''Yes sweetie, but I promise I will be back.''
''I just don't want mommy to feel alone.'' I notice my mom'smile when I say that.
''I will come back princess, meanwhile the three of you have to take care of her.''
''So I'll be like the man of the house?'' I ask.
Both of them laugh and kiss my cheeks at the same time. ''We love you princess...
I feel someone shaking me awake. The covers are warm against my cold skin and I groan sleepily.
''Hey, Sia wake up.'' A sixteen-year old Tobias rips the covers off me forcing me to sit up.
''Is it time?'' I ask. He nods in the darkness and I start to take off the sweatpants hidding my jeans. I put a coat on and my black winter boots and turn on the light to add make up so I can look older. Tobias can easily grin at the lady in the desk selling the tickets and get in any movie he wants.
''I think that's okay.'' I say turning towards him.
''Yeah, you look very sexy.'' He rolls his eyes. ''I will act like your boyfriend alright?''
''No, Tobias you always do that whenever we go out.'' I whine.
''Hey, I'm cool enough to sneak you out of the house at one thirty in the morning to watch a scary movie premier. I am not cool enough to be okay seeing guys undress you with their eyes.'' He opens my window after arranging my pillows so they look like I am sleeping in case mom decides to check on me.
We slip outside and giggle as we run towards his car. We push it until we're off the block and then we drive away.
He turns the radio on and Bon Jovi starts playing through the speakers. We sing/yell along and laugh when Tobias starts choking trying to hit a high note.
''You suck at singing.'' I tell him when I spot the movies up ahead.
''Oh and you sound all Christina Aguilera.'' He says sarcastically. I punch him in the shoulder and we make our way to the ticket booth inside.
''Hello sweetheart.'' Tobias tells the poor love-struck blond behind the desk. He grins and winks before slipping the money to her.
''Hey Tobias.'' She smiles before looking down trying to hide her blush. ''Hey Sia.''
''Hey Jenn.'' I say smiling at her.
''I will let you guys watch this movie because you're my friends.'' She says giving us the tickets. I have to bite my lip to not say, ''Yeah and the fact you drool all over my brother has nothing to do with it.'' But I don't because it's not the poor girl's fault that my brother is flirting with her.
We walk to the end of the line and Tobias goes get us something to drink. When he returns I see him smile. I stop at the entrance of the theatre.
''I love you Tobias, you're the best brother ever.'' I say.
''It's not goodbye, and you can tell me that when you wake up booger.'' He winks at me and I hug him. I hold him tightly until he slips through my fingers and I'm in darkness again.
