Evan's POV

I woke up in a warm bed. Huh? Where the flip am I?

I sit up quickly and look around. It's a dark room. The walls are black and the floor is light gray. It's like an apartment, though. There's a room that I see exits into a living room of sorts. I see two doors in this room, and figure them as a bathroom and a closet.

Man, after that slushee, I need to take a whiz. Then I'll settle all this crap with the glowing sword chick.

...

After my toilet break, I decided to go into the living room. That's probably where the exit was--

"Hello, Evan. You're awake?" The girl from last night smiled at me, sitting comfortably on my couch-- what a minute, this isn't even my place. Where the heck am I?

"I'm glad your okay. Sometimes we have to get a little rough in front of the government goons. They think this place is a prison." She chuckled.

"Who are you?" I glared.

She chuckled. "I'm known as the Wild. This is Shadow Hills Asylum."

"Shadow Hills... Asylum?" I asked.

"Never heard of it? It's where we take "dangerous people like you"." She laughed. "Naw just kidding. That's just what the government wants you to think!"

I eyed her cautiously. Despite her threatening appearance and the fact she literally KNOCKED ME OUT, she was joking with me as if we were friends.

"Where am I? What's going on? Where are Craig and Lui? What... what happened to us?"I stared at her, panic surging through my body.

"I'm not the best at explaining... but... I'm pretty sure she already woke them up and took them to the introductory... I can take you there. Here." She handed me some fresh clothes. A pair of brown jeans an a white tank-top, with a red hoodie. I went and changed into them super quick, then came back out and followed Wild to a room labelled... "Interrogation".

I shot her a look.

"We have to have it there. It's almost never actually been used for interrogation." She shooed me in. "Just listen to her, okay?"

In the room, Lui and Craig looked at me, and they looked so happy. "Dude we thought that chick killed you! She had knocked you on the head good." Lui said.

"C'mon, guys, I'm fine." I chuckled. "Now who's this chick were supposed to listen to--"

"That'd be me. Welcome, gentleman." A girl with long brown hair and green eyes smiled at us. She wore a red jacket and blue jeans, with normal converse. "I'm Camile, the one who tells you whats up and also gets the government off the ass of this fine establishment." She coughed.

I opened my mouth to ask a question, but she held up her hand.

"I'm going to explain everything. If ya'll interrupt me, I'll kick where the sun doesn't shine up into your throat." We stayed silent. "Wild, remote!" Wild dropped down from the ceiling and handed Camile the remote. She went with a slideshow presentation. "This is Shadow Hill's Asylum. Its a building the government set up in the shadow realm, a place only... supernaturals can enter. You guessed it! You're supernaturals. Now, the government thinks there are some super strict people torturing you, but that's not the case. We like kidnapping you and bringing you here so you can live here freely against you're own will!" She giggled at her attempt at a joke. "So, Evan, you're an Mussol, or part owl. Craig, your part fae, or fairy. Lui, you are classified as a Majmun, like a monkey person. No you are not insane. This is not something you're subconscious has concocted to hide the fact you're in an asylum. If you want, I can prove it. I'm a werewolf and I'll shift here and now--"

"I'll handle these one's, Cammy." I heard a deep, masculine voice called. I turned around and saw a man in a mask and a blue jacket in the back. He walked towards the front, and Camile smiled. "Okay! Wild, c'mon!" Wild plopped down from the ceiling and walked with Camile to the back.

"Now listen here assholes, I'm Jon. I'm basically the one who runs this place and keeps everyone safe. So if you try to harm any of my pack, I'll personally nuder you."

I pressed my hands against my balls in pain.

"So, you still need me to prove supernatural and crap right?" He got down on all fours, and he started glowing. His muscles began to expand and contort. The sound of his bones cracking was really. No, they weren't cracking... more like... shifting place. Then his clothes began to tear, and I noticed he was growing fur. His mask had fallen off, and I noticed his face had grown longer. He looked up and I noticed it morphed into the face of a dog. No... a wolf.

When his transformation was completed, we were in fear, awe, and shock.

Camile and Wild were clapping.

Then Jon walked out of the room in his wolf form.

"That was Jon. One of the three top dogs around here. He's considered very dangerous, much like the other two. But..." Camile smiled. "He makes for an excellent father or brother figure."

In my head, I just thought "He'd make an excellent lover too."
But why'd I think that? I just met him, and didn't really know anything about him...

"Well, please enjoy your stay in this new home. I'll be teaching you about your individual powers. And again, welcome home to Shadow Hills." Wild said before leaving the room with Camile.

"What the hell? How are we supposed to accept any of that?!" Craig asked.

"This... this is real?" Lui questioned reality like most of us do every day.

But my thoughts... were on Jon.
