This book is going to be based off the manga, not the anime. For those who haven't read the manga, I'll explain.

Around the end of the manga, Hikaru and Kaoru decide they want people to tell them apart, so Hikaru dyes his hair black and keeps it that way.
In the end, Haruhi spends her second year of high school studying abroad in America, the rest of the host club follow along and study abroad too.

My story starts with the host club returning to Ouran after a year of being in America. In this book, the first years (Haruhi, Hikaru & Kaoru) are now third years, and the rest of the host club are attending Ouran University.
