Addies POV
The worst part about that day was the weighting the hoping that everything was going to be ok then all that hope being crushed. Mum had gone out to buy the groceries when a drunk driver smashed in to her car killing her instantly. Sadly my dad wouldn't give up he made the paramedics try and revive her giving himself and me false hope that was almost instantly squashed.
After that night the drinking and beatings started he couldn't blame the drunk driver because he had died to so there was only me to take his pain out on. The first time was the worst because well i didnt expect it after that i quickly learnt to stay out of his way but occasionally he came looking for a punching bag.
