I hopped out of the shower to find the phone ringing.
It's Lou!
"Hello Lou! I haven't spoke to you in a while! Everything okay?" I answered while putting some sweats and a t-shirt on.
"Hey Liv! Every thing is fine! But I have some fantastic news!"
"What is it?"
"I'm pregnant! Isn't that fabulous?"
"Omigosh! Really? Any names picked out? Boy or girls?"
This is truly a surprise! Lux was super cute and I can't wait to see her new baby!
"I'm glad your excited! And Im not quite sure yet! And its a boy! We were thinking Carter or Ty. But still unsure... But this isn't the reason why I called you."
Oh gosh.
"Okay..." Were the only words I could muster. Lou is always full of surprises!
"Well since I will be gone for about mmmm 6 months taking care of my boy. I need you to take my place as the boys hairdresser. I know you just got your cosmetologist license, please?"
Dear lord! I was expecting babysitting Lux or cooking dinner or cleaning. Not this!
"Jesus Lou! They are the biggest boy band on the planet! One fucking direction! What if I mess up? I'd be killed!"
I could hear Lou chuckling at the other end, is she joking about this whole thing?
"Olive Ann Teasdale! You are probably the best! Remember at Gram's? Everyone always liked your hair and makeup better than mine. Yours is always so precise! You are going to take this job no matter what. You are the only one I trust enough to take this job. You are like a sister to me!"
Lou was right about us being like sisters. Her parents took me in right after my mum died, and my father was never around. She was my cousin transformed into my new sister. And the closest I have, the only thing I have.
I sighed.
"Okay I'll do it, not like I have a choice anyways. Lou what are the boys like?"
She laughed again.
"A pain in the ass! Thats what!"
We both laughed, only mine was more of a nervous chuckle. This is going to be fun...
