It has been a month since I arrived home. During this time I have worked at mom's store trying to find a new job. Jun had called me as soon as he found out I was home telling me how sorry he was but he needed a new assistant directly. But he said that the royal family had said that he better find a new one since I was going to get married to the prince and didn't need a job anymore. I could only forgive him, since it wasn't his fault. For all we knew I could have stayed there. But he had sworn to me that he would come and visit as soon as he had time but that could anytime. I sighed and continued to tie knots on the flower arrangement. Mom came up to me and took the ones that were already done. She patted me on the back and then left. My phone blinked and I looked at it. So-Min called and I answered.
"Hello it's Aiko" I said leaning the phone on my shoulder while I continued.
"Hi Ai, it's So-Min" She said and laughed. "What're you doing today?"
"Well I'm working right now."
"Oh I'm sorry to disturb you."
"No worries I can work and talk to you. But why did you call?"
"Well I was wondering if you wanted to eat lunch today around twelve?"
"Yes defiantly. Should we go to the ramen shop two blocks from mothers flower shop?"
"But that's so far for me at least."
"Aren't you free this afternoon?"
"How did you know?"
"Well you only call and asks if we can eat when you're free at the afternoons. You can stay the night if you want to."
"Okay you have persuaded me. I will meet you there at lunch."
"Great see you later bye."
"Bye."
We ended the call and I put down the phone. Mom came back inside and sat in front of me. She took some of the flowers and helped me.
"Making plans darling?" She asked.
"Yes me and So-Min will eat lunch together" I said finishing another one. "I told her she could stay the night I hope that's okay?"
"Of course have we ever said no to that girl?"
"No you haven't."
We both smiled and continued. Soon we were finished with the flower arrangements and I started to clean away the left overs. Mom took the finished ones and put them in the fridge so they wouldn't witter. When the table was cleaned I stretched and walked over to the window. I opened it and took a deep breath of the fresh air. The flowers sure smelled lovely but sometimes it's just to much with the fragrance. Mom came back with a new set of flowers that needed to be arranged for the weddings. All this talk about wedding made me kind of sad. If I still had been at the palace me and Masahiro would get married in a month. I don't understand why it saddens me so, but it does. Everyday I have made new arrangement for weddings and everyday I think how good those flowers would be to our wedding. I shook my head and went back to the table.
"What are you thinking about dear?" Mom asked.
"Nothing" I said and sat down.
"You sure get nostalgic when you're doing this."
"How come?"
"It's thanks to my own wedding that I wanted to be florist. The flower arrangements was so lovely then I just knew I wanted to create something just as beautiful to others happy day, so I did."
"Well you're lucky to know what you will do with your life."
"Aren't you happy with your life? Free from the responsibility the royal life means and the responsibility for being the personal assistant."
