You are woken up from your nap when your neighbor, (Harry was his name?) nudges your shoulder softly.

“We’re making a quick stop, just wanted to tell you.”

“Kay thanks” you reply shortly, half from being just woken up, and the other half, out of frustration of being woken up in the first place. You take your headphones out of you ears and lay your phone on the seat as you stand up to exit the bus for a quick bathroom trip. You return to find that Harry boy hovering over your things.

“Excuse you, what are you doing?” You approach him to find him poking around you phone.

“Give me that!” You snatch it from his hand.

“Are you running away?” His eyes light up with inquisitiveness like a child reading their older siblings diary.

“Fucking dick, I bet you read my messages, (y/f) is probably paranoid right now. The clingy little bitch” You murmur to yourself, quickly shuffling though your phone making sure everything is still there.

“Sorry, you kept getting texts, I figured it was important. It won’t happen again I was just curious” He looks down and shuffles his feet in embarrassment.

“Curiosity killed the cat” You sit back down.

“Hey, my mum used to always say that to me when I was a kid” He beams.

This guy is a goddamn kid, his mood swings are worse than a toddler.

“It’s applicable” You slightly grimace and size him up.

“You should really keep a password on that you know” He sits back down next to you.

“Well, usually my phone isn’t in the hands of nosey strangers”

“I’m sorry, so are you really running away?”

“Sure am” You reply flatly to him.

“Why?” His full attention on you.

“That’s not really any of your concern now is it?” You sarcastically smile.

“Okay okay, I’m sorry” he folds his hands in his lap.

“Why are you going to Atlanta?” You turn to him.

“Oh so its okay for you to be nosey?” He raises his eyebrows and chuckles.

“I’m just trying to make conversation okay?” You roll your eyes.

“Oh I have a huge boxing match this weekend”

“You’re a boxer?” You observe his lean figure.

“What?” He frowns.

“Sorry I just can’t believe it” You laugh.

“Why not?” He furrows his brows, the tone of his damaged ego noticeable.

“I knew a boxer, and he was a bit, you know, bigger” You flick his bicep.

“That doesn’t mean anything, I’m just in a smaller weight class” He shrugs away.

You raise your eyebrows, his comment not swaying your opinions of his being and embarrassingly shitty boxer.

“Alright fine, come watch me then”

“Sorry, I don’t particularly like witnessing murder” You smile.

“Piss off, Smart Ass” You both laugh.

“But seriously, just come. I can get you a hotel until the match if you want?” He looks over at you.

“I mean, I’m sorry, I’m just assuming you don’t have a place” He corrects himself.

“Stop apologizing, it’s fine. I’ll be okay on my own.” Your pride intervenes with your common sense.

“Ok I’m sorry- Ah shit.” He buries his face in his hands and you laugh.

“You sure you’ll be alright thought? A girl like yourself doesn’t need to be on the streets alone.”

“What, and you’re going to be my body guard? I could probably hit way harder than you”

“Will you stop!”

“Look a those twigs!” You reach over and gesture to his arms. You both laugh together and a few people from the rows in front of you turn around disapprovingly.

“Come watch me (y/n). I doubt you have anything else to do”

“Fine whatever” You sigh in defeat.

“Alright cool” His face lights up, but something inside you alludes to some sort of darkness in him.
