Randhir walked back to his room with a guilty heart. Sanyukta was lying quietly on the bed looking at the wall. He felt more guilty looking at her bandaged hand and pale face. He placed his office bag on it's place and gulped some water, sanyukta noticed him from the corner of eyes but remained silent.
Randhir took his change and slowly walked till washroom confused what to say after his not forgivable deed. He bottled the washroom door and stood under the cool shower trying to calm down himself and prepare a sorry speech to his parents and sanyukta. Though his ego was coming in between but he told himself to say sorry to her just once as a gentleman.
"She is a witch, ill mannered girl but i m not, i will say sorry and show her i m far better than her!" he convinced his ego before walking out of the washroom. His eyes widened in horror when found her sobbing sitting on the bed, in no time he rushed to her.
"Sanyukta ! what happened ? " He asked her with genuine concern.
"It's paining a lot" She sobbed more loudly
Randhir looked down guiltily.
"now you are happy right?" Sanyukta questioned him with teary eyes thus making his heart sink in pain.
Yes, he wanted to teach her a lesson but hurting her like this was never his intention.
"Listen sanyukta !" he started but sanyukta stopped him from saying anything.
"You listen to me randhir, you are not at fault , you never were. it was my fault, i tricked you in this burden arranged marriage. whatever happened today is also consequence of my deeds only. I AM SORRY Randhir. I m really sorry for the mess i created in your life. But today i realized my mistakes. thank u for this lesson. " Sanyukta finished and dashed inside the washroom
while randhir sat there too shocked to react.
