I was rereading the chamber of secrets again, when I realized: Harry is a parselmouth, couldn't he have asked the snake not to kill him? Then they both could have lived.
Also, in the battle of Hogwarts there's a giant Medusa-like snake defending a hallway.
I want this as a full story. Somebody write this please.
