Josh's P.O.V.
I coughed as I slowly opened my dry eyes. I should have never left him, it ran through my mind over what seemed a hundred times. I looked down to my feet. They were tied together with a strong rope. Around my neck was something which felt like a metal chain cutting into my sore skin. As I tried to think of something good to set myself free with, the door in front of me swung open.
The fresh wind from outside struck into my face. I breathed in as deep as possible. The fresh morning air felt good as it filled my lungs. A dark figure entered but it was too dark to see the face.
I felt strong hands pressing against my cheeks and made it impossible to talk. "So, you're boyfriend arrived. He will be here in some minutes. I can smell it." It was a man's voice. It was low-pitched and scratchy. I heard a little laugh coming from the deepest part in his chest, running a shiver down my spine. "Oh it will break his cold heart to see you slowly die. And if he will come to save you, I will catch him and make him mine." Anger filled my body, pumping it with adrenaline. I spit into his face. "He would never do anything for you!" His fist landed in my face. A pain rushed through my nose. It felt like he broke it. Tears filled my eyes finally making them seeing clearer.
The door opened again. The presence of the man vanished. "Josh, you're alive." Tyler ran towards me. "Don't come closer. It's a trap!" I brought out before ending up coughing. "What are you-" But it was too late. The man bit into his neck. I held my breath. It all was new to me and I had to take so much.
How was it even possible to make Tyler faint? And couldn't he just fight against that man?
I stared into the other vampire's face. His eyes were shiny red. On the cheek running from the ear to the nose a big scar. I burned that scar into my mind.
I had to watch him pulling Tyler into the darkness. I couldn't see anything. The upcoming silence was eerie. Not a single sound.
Out of nowhere the guy stood in front of me again. His face was closer than it had been before. I shut my eyes. I didn't want to see him killing me. "Open your eyes idiot! Look at me." His hand pushed against my throat. I struggled for air as he tightened his grip every second a little more. I opened my eyes and he let go. "Good, now listen carefully. I'll keep you alive if you do what I tell you, got it?" He punched the pillar I was tied against. "Did you get it?" He screamed so loud that it echoed through the room. 'I must be in some sort of hall. But where?' "Yes", I answered slowly. When he was gone I would try to wake up Tyle. That was if he still would be in the room with me. He knew where we were. "If he is awake", the man pointed into the darkness "Tell him to set you free. We both know he loves you so much he will do it. You will lead him outside to the big cans behind the factory and I'll do the rest. If you fool me, even once, I will come and get you. I will cut you into a thousand little pieces." He came uncomfortably close again. "Yes, Sir", I whispered. My heart raced fast and my lungs got so tight, it got harder to breathe. "Oh, I love when people are scared of me." He jumped up and clapped his hands together. "Well, I will be awaiting you two." With that he disappeared. I rested my head against the pillar once more.
"Tyler.." I first said in a quiet voice. Then I spoke louder, "Tyler wake up. We need to get out of here." I heard grumbling. "Please come on. Help me", I begged. I felt horrible doing this. But did I have another choice? I looked around trying to find something I could wake him up with. But it was too hard to see. I heard footsteps coming closer. "Tyler is that you?", I whispered. "Yes", he answered. "I am so sorry. I should have never brought you into this situation", I said as he opened first the rope then the chain. "It's not your fault. I should have told you everything from the beginning. But I was too scared if I do you might run away." I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him into a tight hug. "I am still here", I pointed out. "I missed you." He kissed me long and passionately. After a while of sitting there and whispering sweet nothings he helped me up. "We have to get out of here, fast." He made me jump on his back. I rested my head on his shoulder. I was so tired I forgot where to lead him. But all I wanted to was going home no matter the death the man had threatened me with.
Tyler had this cool super speed which made us arrive after already 10 minutes.
Inside our house he started to bandage all my wounds. He knelt down in front of me. His touches were soft and careful. After he was done he stood up. He let out a deep sigh. "I am sorry, Josh" was the only thing he said before walking into the bathroom to bring away the firt aid kid. "I need to tell you something", I explained. He came back his face in a serious shape. "What is it?"
I took a deep breath and began to tell him everything the man told me.
In that exact moment a knock on the door made me jump up and Tyler growl. That was when I realised everything was too late to save.
