Time: During 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Place: Rebel Base

Cassian ( talking to Jyn): I was six years old when my father fought in the Clone Wars . My mother abandoned me during the war... and I never knew why. My father never came back, and I knew right then that I was going to be alone forever, lost, and scared. I didnt know what was going to happen to me. Questions started circling around in my head; Were Clones going to take me away? Would the war come to were I was? (pauses) Would my mother come back looking for me? When I was seventeen, I decided to run away. I was found by Bail Organa, and was taken here. At this time, the Alliance wasnt formed yet, until the rise of the Empire. I was well cared for, and befriended K-2, who was reprogrammed the day I had turned eighteen. I learned to fight my own fight, never to trust anybody, with a few exceptions, of course. I learned to always fight for your cause, even if it means making sacrifices along the way, to build myself on hope, as the Rebellion had, and from that point on, (pauses and takes a glance at the shimmering sky) ...was never the same again...

Jyn  ( turning to Cassian): I... I didn't know... I'm very sorry -

Cassian ( looks at her in a sterm manner, and with a glimmer in his eyes from the sunset): You don't have to be.

Jyn looks at him with the same glimmer in her eyes.

Jyn (relentlessly): Cassian, I -

Bodhi ( steps towards them): Jyn. It's time. (takes another look at the two) Wait, was I interrupting something. Like in the movies? ... Where two people -

Jyn: No, it's fine. (gulps while looking down at the floor)

Cassian gets up from the ledgw of the ship and goes inside. Jyn looks at him with a concerned, but hopeful expression. And she and Bodhi proceed to a room for a meeting with Mon Mothma...
