Jyn: Cassian, I've been wondering lately. I've noticed the way our friendship has bloomed. Ever since the Rebellion War, we've never looked at each other the same way... Do you have feelings for me? Cassian: What do you mean by "feelings?" What specific feelings? Jyn: Like, a strong admiration for me, in a... romantic way? Cassian: (looks at Jyn with a shine in his eyes) I do... Jyn: (stares at him for a while) I do as well... Cassian: (looks at her with a smile) "I know." Jyn: (blushes and smiles) K-2SO: (walks in the ship) I find your chemistry rather lacking. That is not how people talk when they are in love. Jyn: (still holds that smile)
A loud explosion occurs right outside of the Rebel Base. One of the X-Wing ships has been hijacked. An Imperial droid snuck on to one of the ships with a bomb. Five Rebels were killed in the explosion, and three are in critical condition. Cassian and Jyn leap into the battle, with K-2 not far behind. At first, they thought it was just one that had been hijacked, but there were seven ships with Imperial droids, and some had more than one.
Cassian: (running towards the scene) How many are there, K-2? K-2: (scans the area) Around 70 of them, and there leader, (points at a droid with yellow arms, and more bulky structure) that one. Jyn: (loads her blaster) I'm going in. Cassian: (going after her) I'm right behind you. (turns to K-2) Stay with the ship, and make sure none of them go in!!! K-2: (drops his loaded blaster) I'm beginning to think I should be the ship.
Rebel pilots and soldiers leap into action as well, some being shot and killed. More explosions go off, killing more and more Rebels...
Jyn: (scans the area from behind an X-Wing ship) I say we attack swiftly and quietly so we dont set off a chain reaction of droids coming at us. Cassian: (points) You take the normal ones, I'll get the leader. Are you with me? Jyn: (smiles and blushes) All the way. Cassian: (smiles back at her with a shine)
And, of course, the X-Wing ship they had hid behind had a droid in it with a bomb. Cassian and Jyn swiftly jump and shoot the droid at the same time. The bomb had been activated and it ticks. Jyn and Cassian run as fast as possible, and the ship explodes into bits and pieces. Cassian helps Jyn up, and they hug.
Jyn: (catching her breath) Let's go!! _______________________________________
On Cassian's side of the fight, he rapid fires and destroys a dozen of droids in a second. He got blasted in the arm, and K-2 comes and helps him.
Cassian: (catching his breath) Why do you always get off the ship during a battle? K-2: Because one; you're always in trouble, and two; I always seem to be the one to save you when you are in said trouble.
A droid shots K-2 in the back, then he turns around at lightning speed and shoots three of them in the head.
K-2: (turns to Cassian and tries to say a smart ass catchphrase) Cassian: (interrupts) I get it. (grabs is blaster) Let's go find Jyn. K-2: (in a sarcastic way) You mean your girlfriend? Cassian: (turns red) Let's go. _______________________________________
Jyn circles around an X-Wing with three droids in it. She jumps on the back and shoots them all from behind. She looks around the base. The Empire's droids have a lot of power to them. The Rebels continue to fight, and you can see in their actions that they won't give up until all of them are gone. She spots the droids' leader, who is shooting soldiers and pilots left and right. Jyn decides to go after the leader. When running near thay area, she bumps into Cassian... oh, and also K-2.
Cassian: (holding Jyn's shoulders) Where are you going? Jyn: (out of breath) To kill the leader. You? K-2: He was looking for you because he "missed you." Cassian: (quickly) What's your plan? Jyn: (softly) Is that true? That you missed me while fighting? Cassian: (pauses and looks at her reassuringly) Yes, I did miss you. I miss you whenever you aren't with me. Jyn: (blushes red and smiles) That's so sweet, Cassian. (kisses him on the cheek) K-2: (mockingly) Aww, how precious and cute, but look behind you.
Cassian and Jyn turn around to reveal the leader of the droids standing tall and firm. Jyn noticed that the droid had a tag on it's "chest" that read: K-2B5. K-2B5 raises his heavy arms to crush them.
K-2: (nonchalantly to the two) Now duck.
Cassian and Jyn look at K-2, who has a big crate in his hands ready to swing. Cassian pushes Jyn out of the way just in time and the crate hits and crushes K-2B5. Jyn lands in Cassians arms. They both look at each other in a dreamlike way. Jyn gets up and helps Cassian to his feet.
K-2: (in a modest way) You're very welcome.
All the droids are destoryed, and security on the X-Wings are increased drastically. It was a rough battle, with many lives lost. The three men in critical condition, thankfully made it out alive...
Jyn and Cassian walk back to the ship and sit back down where they were before. Jyn get a First Aid kit and raps a cloth around Cassian's injured arm.
Cassian: (turning to Jyn nervously) Jyn, um, I love you. Since day one I cared a whole lot for you. Jyn: (smiles brightly) I feel the same way...
They both lean into each other and kiss while the sun sets before them.
K-2: (walking in) Would you like to know the probability of you being an adorable couple?
Jyn and Cassian look at K-2 and laugh.
K-2: It's high. It's very high.
