"Oh shit!"

A loud buzzing noise started to go off. I looked at Markus who looked at me sheepishly. Great, just freaking great.

"What the hell man!" I yelled at him.

I hurriedly stuffed the cans of spray paint into my black bag and grabbed my skateboard. The sound of piercing sirens filled the air around us. Blue and red lights were visible just around the parking lot.

I turned around, "Come on! Hurry the hell up already!"

Markus grabbed his bag and skateboard as well and we both began to run. Together, we both sprinted like there was no tomorrow behind the cheap food market to the back roads.

"Hey, stop where you are now!" Called out a deep voice behind us.

I picked up my speed, "Pick it up Mark, they're right behind us!"

Markus was running about five steps behind me. The police were about fifteen steps behind us all together. This is the reason why I didn't want Markus to come with me, he always kept me behind.

I groaned as he started to breathe harder. I swear if he gets us both caught...

We both turned a few corners on the back streets with the cop cars still following behind. I made a left into a dark alleyway and began running faster. As soon as I seen it was a dead end I mentally cursed.

Shit, we were gonna get caught. Bouncing on my feet, I glanced around for a spot to at least hide behind. Once I seen a big dumpster I groaned. I looked around quickly for another alternative.

Shaking my head, I lifted open the lid and scrunched my nose at the stench smell.

"Yo! Hold it open!"

I looked to my right to see Markus just turning into the alley running towards me. Holding it open, we both jumped in and I quietly shut it closed.

We were both enveloped into complete darkness and the smell of rotten fish. I almost gagged but mustered it up for our sakes.

"I swear Mark, if you led the cops back here you are dead." I growled into the dark.

He snorted. The sirens began to get closer. At first I thought that they found us but then they soon faded away. Markus was about to jump back out buy I pulled him down by his arm.

If anything, he should know to wait at least ten minutes until getting out. After what felt like a long enough time to be known as a stall, I carefully slipped open the lid and peeked out into the alley. It was quiet with the exception of faint dog barks.

Opening it completely, I jumped out along with Mark bringing our skateboardsandbags as well.

I glared at him, "Your so stupid. I'm never bringing you along again."

"What! Why, what did I do?"

I scoffed, "Oh please Markus! You're the reason why they were on us in the first place! If you wouldn't have 'accidentally' tripped onto the door and setting the alarm off, we wouldn't have been in that disgusting garbage!"

I scowled as I lifted my hair to my nose. "Great, now I won't be able to get this reeking smell out of my hair!"

Markus rolled his eyes, "Oh quit you're complaining you wussy. Let's get the car and go home."

Complying to his idea, I rolled my eyes and we both walked out of the alleyway onto the streets. I made sure to still be on the low for any lurking cops as we made our way to his car. I never got to finish my graffiti art.

I was spraying on a picture with the side of a girl facing towards me. She was blowing a pink bubble bigger than her head. Her arms were crossed across her chest as she had an attitude. Her foot was on the bottom of a skateboard, lifting it up in the air.

Well that was what it was suppose to be but all I got done was her top half. Stupid Markus and his clumsiness. Ugh.

Once we reached the car, I tossed my things in the back of the car and sat up front. I crossed my arms and sunk into the seat as Markus hopped in and started to pull away from the lot.

A few minutes of silence passed by as we drove down the vacant streets. Mark sighed and glanced at me.

"Come on Charlie, you can't stay mad forever. We can always go back."

I rolled my eyes, "Are you dumb or just stupid? And keep your eyes on the road,"

"We can't go back because that's what they'll be expecting you dimwit. Gee, why did I even think of having you tag along?"

He chuckled, "Awe come on! You know you had fun, you know, getting in on the action... Running from the cops."

I couldn't help but let the corners of my lips tug ever so slightly. Okay, I did have to admit that was pretty awesome. That's my favorite part when I'm doing my sprays. But jumping into a dumpster was a big no no for me.

Markus nudged me with his elbow, "See,that's the spirit!"

"Oh shut up!" He began to laugh and I started to join a few moments later.

When he pulled up in my driveway, I let out a soft sigh. It was 4:37 in the morning and I was beyond tired. I looked over at Markus who was already staring at me with a stupid smirk.

"What?" I asked.

He shook his head, "Nothing. See you later Charlie."

I nodded and grabbed my board and bag from the back and got out his car.

"Next time, I'll go solo." I said with a smile before shutting his door shut and trudging into my home.

I made my way up the stairs and threw my things near my closet. I grabbed some night clothes and ran myself a bath. Once the tub was filled, I sauntered in and relaxed myself.

It was fun tonight, besides the fact of the trash part. Oh yeah, my hair.

After I scrubbed my scalp clean about four good times, I let the water drain and stepped out. I put on my clothes and checked my phone as I got in bed.

Mark

I had fun, let's go again!

I rolled my eyes and replied back.

Charlie

Goodnight Mark.

With that, I placed my phone on my night stand and drifted off to sleep. He will definitely not be going again.
