Chapter Eighteen

One month later
Zendaya,

I called Trev on facetime. "Hey." He greeted. "Hi. How are the kids?" "They're fine." "Hi mommy." Amari waved. I waved back.

"Mama." Scarlett said. Trev had no luck finding Daniel. "Where's Semoria?" I asked. "She's sleeping." Amari replied.

"Z are you coming to the mall with us?" Menika asked. "No." "You haven't left this house since we got here." Janelle said.

I'm hiding from Daniel. I know that he knows where in Puerto Rico but he doesn't know the exact location. "I can't. He's out there."

"We're all afraid. We need to stay strong." Menika hugged me. I really needed that hug. I'm pregnant. I haven't talked to Damien for two weeks. I think I'm still in love with Trev.

Janelle hugged me. "I'll go." I put my shoes on. "Jeff." I called. "Yes ma'am." "We're going to the mall and we'll need a bodyguard." I stated.

"I'll take you all since Stanley and Brad went to the police station to talk to the guy that works for Daniel." I nodded. We got into the car.

We walked into Pink. "Did Damien call you yet?" Menika wondered. "No." I sighed. Menika and Janelle looked at each other.

"What are y'all hiding?" I asked. "Nothing." They said quickly. I shrugged it off. I started looking at some clothes on the rack.

"Menika how is you're relationship with Diggy?" Janelle asked. "We're just friends." She stated. "It's more than that." I smiled. They talk every night they're even sleeping while they're video chatting. I wished I had that type of relationship with someone.

"Don't let someone steal your man." Janelle spoke. "Even if we wanted to date it's not a good time to date. I'm here and he's in the US. We're too far apart."

"So you really like him." I guessed. "I do but I can't be in a relationship for a while because of Sean." "Who's Sean?" Janelle questioned.

Menika told Janelle who Sean is. Menika and Sean dated for two years then Sean started being an alcoholic and started abusing her. Menika did love Sean but things weren't meant to be.

"I'm so starving." I explained. "Ma'am there's a restaurant just by here." Jeff
specified. "What y'all think?" I asked. "It's ok." Janelle replied. Menika nodded.

We orders our drinks and food at the same time. Our drinks and food came.  I finished my food. "I'm going to go the bathroom." I spoke. "You shouldn't." Menika quickly said. I gave her a strange look.

I got up. Menika blocked me from something. I was able to get in front of her. Damien was sitting at a table talking to a girl.

Damien,

"Yeah that'll work." I said. "Damien." I looked up. "Zendaya." "You don't call me for two weeks and you're in the same damn country as me with a broad." She stormed out. "I have to go talk to her." I told Sara.

I left the table and followed Zendaya. "Z." "Leave me alone." Z went into the bathroom. "We'll go talk to her." Menika said.

I wasn't cheating. Sara is just helping with her surprise. 20 minutes later Zendaya comes out. "I don't think we're right for each other." Z said. "It's Trevor isn't it." "This has nothing to do with him."

"What about the baby?" I asked. "We'll co parent." She decided. I really do love her. "I was going to engage you." I sighed. She stole my heart and burned it to ashes. "I'm sorry." She walked away.
