Chapter 3

Last night was hectic. When I tried to call Ashlee, it led straight to voicemail. I understand why she didn't pick up, since I've kind of been ignoring her. But it still made me feel bad. Then security guards busted in the party and found me. I'm guessing mom found out. But now I'm on a flight back to LA. 

I don't really know why I went on this trip thinking it was going to make me feel better. I just feel completely helpless and alone. My mom is pissed at me, my best friend won't talk to me, and the guy I like is so naive. It was stupid of me to even go. I fall asleep on the plane, and don't wake up until it's time to go. Let's see how mom is. 

                                                         ———Kendall's POV———

It's 3:30 PM, and Leslie comes through the front door. I notice she has on no makeup, and she rarely does that. I don't say anything, and neither does she. It's just total silence. Then she runs to me and starts balling into my chest. I'm so surprised I don't know what to do. Then I wrap my arms around her. 

"Don't cry Leslie, its going to be okay," I say reassuring her. Even if I'm mad at her, she's still my daughter and I love her more than anything else in the world, Bible. "I messed u-up everything mom. I screwed up e-everyth-thing," she cries out. "It's okay Les. Come on, let's go upstairs," I say and we walk upstairs. 

"Tell me everything," I say. "I wanted to go to New York to see Daniel," she says. I'm so confused. Who's Daniel? But I don't say anything and let her speak. "His moms fighting cancer and he wants to go to college, but he also has to pay the medical bills and care for his mom, and he said he couldn't choose," she sniffles. 

"So I offered him the money, but he refused. After that I got mad at him for turning down the offer, and I try to call Leslie to talk to someone, but she doesn't pick up. So now my best friend hates me and the boy I like thinks I'm annoying," she says crying more. "Oh, honey. Your best friend doesn't hate you. Ashlee and you have been friends forever. She knows what hard time you're going through. There's been a lot of changes in your life and you've been so strong through all of it. I'm so proud of how brave you've been." I tell her running my fingers through her hair. 

"I'm sorry for lying, mom. I promise never to lie to you again," she says. "You better not. How about we just have a lazy day?" I tell her and she nods. "It's going to be just like when you were 12," I say smiling reminiscing about when she was younger. 

                                      ———Daniel's POV———

I didn't mean to make Leslie upset when I denied her money, I just felt like it was wrong to ask her to do that. After she stormed out I immediately went looking for her. "Dude, who is that girl? I've never seen her before," one of my friends, Josh said. "You don't know her," I say hurriedly. "Sure. Anyways, did you hear that Jake got into Harvard early acceptance?" 

"I don't care. He's an over privileged rich boy," I say. It was true. Jake never had to work for anything in his life, he just got everything handed to him. My thoughts are interrupted when I see Leslie walking out of the bathroom. "Leslie," I call after her. 

She doesn't seem to hear me though. Why is she leaving so soon? "Your little girlfriend looks mad at you bro," Josh says. "Yeah, I know," I say running a hand through my hair. I messed up everything. "I'll be back," I say and follow her outside. 

There's two black SUV cars waiting for her, and a huge load of security guards. What the hell is happening? Is she a criminal or something? I'm so confused. "Excuse me sir, are you with Miss. Jenner?" A tall authoritive looking woman asks. 

"Yeah... I mean no," I stutter confused. "Leslie?" I ask her. She nods her head. "Sir, are you with Leslie Jenner? Do you know why she came here?" I'm so confused and out of it I just stare at the cars. Who is Leslie? Why does she need all this security? "I'm sorry, what is all of this for? Why is all this protection needed?" I ask the security guard. 

She makes a weird face and then says, "Don't you know her? She's Leslie Jenner." 

                                                     ———Leslie's POV———

The whole day is just mom, the twins and I hanging out and watching movies. I try not to get too stressed, but I have a lot on my mind. Filming, Daniel, Ashlee, and whatever other work I needed to do. I couldn't stop thinking about Daniel. I have no idea what he's thinking right now. I never really told him that I was famous, but that's only because I wanted him to like me for me, not for a rich Kardashian. I also didn't want him to judge me. 

"Mom, can I ask you something?" I ask her. "Sure sweetie," she says. "What would you do if you liked a boy a lot, but you don't know how to say it?" I ask her. She thinks for a moment then says. "Is this about Daniel? The guy you visited?" I nod my head. 

"Well, he sounds really intelligent. Just be honest. Just tell him you like him," she says. "Easier said then done," I say and she laughs. "This is a bad example, but what about you and Brooklyn? You guys just dived into a relationship, and this guy sounds 100 times better than him, so what are you waiting for?" She asks me and I question myself, what am I waiting for?

"But not now, because you're on major probation. You know that, right?" She asks sternly. I nod my head. "Yeah. I know." She smiles and hugs me and we continue watching movies until we fall asleep.
